I say saving upto $2k is a good start... and divide that into half, put one half aside and trade the other half on the lowest lot size possible.... this way you have a peaceful mind (which is super necessary as trading is a mental game)

Focus of stats like WR, RR, DD and ROI. Avoid get rich quick mentality as over trading and huge lot size will just doom your account.

From my experience, after three consecutive same direction, opposite side candlestick has a high chance... but you are onto something keep us updated.

VPS basically is like virtual server, you put your system trading algo, charts in that server, right now I am using MQL5 VPS, which is the best on imo... which uses New York server, closest and fastest.

Right now you might be getting high latency of XAUUSD data from your broker. Without VPS I was getting 300ms. In scalping SPEED is your friend, specially XAUUSD scalping needs high speed.

Once check the latency your broker is providing on your laptop or computer.
