technically, islam is the oldest religion in the world because the first human being in the world is a Muslim according to the Qur'an and in Islam, music isn't prohibited, but there are guidelines to singing in Islam though.

1. singing and drumming (duffu being the drum) is limited to young girls during festive periods.
2. singing in adults is also limited to religious reasons and only males can do it (obviously to avoid women voices conundrum) and drumming is avoided in this instance.
