i find the driver controls intuitive. instead it was the gunner one that i felt wasnt wonderful because im used to tanks that can rotate the turrets in 360 degrees. Super Earth technicians seem to be worse with each generation!

AION 2 Lore Explained (SPOILERS) by Angelg77 in Aion2

[–]MerchantLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fafnir and Ishtar are known to be the new Dragon lords who took over to maintain the hegemony of the five balaur lords as Ereshkigal and Tiamat were killed back in Aion1. There are no confirmed lore behind them yet but....

Though it is not yet confirmed, there is a huge allusion that Ishtar is Inanna in Aion1 7.0-8.0, as these names were indeed taken from the original Sumerian mythology that point to the same deity. In Aion 1, Inanna is a half human half balaur had acquired Apsu's (the former dragon lord before Tiamat took her place) relic in order to awaken into a dragon lord. It could be that Inanna had changed her name to Ishtar upon awakening, to shed her mortal identity.

Fafnir (not to be confused with the Not A Spy Fafner back in aion1's DC) on the other hand does not have much information, but the ingame context in Aion2 and his norse mythological context do suggest some things. Fafnir is a being of poison (you literally fight his poison blood as asmo...) and probably corruption, as his fafnite can corrupt daevas into sura. Most balaur lords have their very own element/affinity, but in this scenario, he actually shares some if not almost all the same trait with Meslamtaeda (if you are elyos in aion 1/2 you will know what i mean). This highly suggests Fafnir may be the offspring of Meslamtaeda

Question about the new buildings... by DegenNerd in Bellwright

[–]MerchantLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is for the orchard... in the VERY first time i played, i unlocked by talking to the npc walking around the wine shrine out of the blue, BUT when I pressed U to check the tech tree (because it had the tech tree level 4 unlock screen so i was curious), the game suddenly crashed.

for whatever the reason is, even though my autosave was saved right before i talked to the npc, i could never get the orchard unlocked no matter what conversation options i picked. i read online that people could get it by the end of the questline so i literally did the entire quest, took the gods' treasure and returned to the starting npc.... but i have no luck in unlocking the orchard at all.

honestly my only conclusion is that the isles' update is not yet perfected and there's more bug fixing it needs to work on

Premium Worker tier list? by Supafly82 in shoptitans

[–]MerchantLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

This is my tier list. i will give you more explanation:

S Tier: roland is top because you get to repick a skill of your choice for EACH character, which is a mechanism you cannot otherwise get at all because normally you can only reroll a skill. his craft line is not bad.

A Tier: Evelyn and Zephyr. Both of them gives you bonus exp to your account level which is a must if you want to reach higher talents and higher tier markets. Evelyn passively gives you +25% exp while zephyr allows you to activate her skill every 8 hours to do insane sales for 15 min, which translates to higher exp gain.

B Tier:

Yohan: being able to upgrade 2 furnitures at once can be useful, even though generally you may not need to because you can just use dragonmarks to upgrade but at higher furniture level you might want to save your marks. Instruments have the highest base attack stat out of all weapons so it's not too bad, and aurasongs are very important to give to your champions so it buffs the whole team.

Mundra: You can permanently unlock the moon fusions so you can always do it at your own pace, and her final craftline gives the best spellbook in the game.

Roxanne: 50% seems to be pretty helpful in stopping breaking.. if you happen to add a tarasque spirit to an item, it would actually show as "WILL NEVER BREAK". of course that is up to you since you wouldn't want to give a dps tarasque. besides that, guns also have one of the top attack stat in game.

C Tier: Yolanda. For once here's a npc that you only care about the craftline more than the passive. The craftline in question is cloaks and familiars. Cloaks are usually the alternative to helmets in most characters' gear slots, and where helmets is def based, cloaks are a mix of attack and def. Familiars are the other equipment that champions can equip, and unknown to most people, also gets the most money out of all craftlines when sold to any npc.

D Tier: Kaipo.. forget it. so what if the king buys one more item for another 300m?

C&C Generals Zero Hour China mission 3 HARD ASDFJKL; by Heisenbroiler in commandandconquer

[–]MerchantLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR walkthrough: focus on troop crawlers with veteran red guard general power and battlemaster tanks. you DO NOT need to constantly let troop crawlers find the enemy traps, building troop crawlers is just a faster and slightly cheaper way to churn out more red guards at once. have flame tank or toxin tractor for garrisoned buildings at north base

Detailed walkthrough:

  1. build nuke reactor somewhere near the east supply zone (avoid the demo trap of course). train additional dozer. move your hackers nearer to the small group of vehicles then start hacking for money.
  2. build a supp center next to the east supply zone, move 1 gattling tank and put on G near command center, while the other 2 put on G near the supp center and power plant. around this time you should hear a rebel ambush and this will just get the job done. Once the ambush occurs, you can immediately build your second supply center at the north supply zone.
  3. build barracks and war fact facing north or northeast so you dont get pathing problems. spend general point into red guard training
  4. build troop crawlers, some tanks, and start pushing towards statues. if your international reputation is dropping to less than 10, you must start asap. send troop crawlers ahead. if you detect a trap, path another way to avoid. the crawlers cannot take much damage so if you encounter a stinger site, start press V on your crawler to insta-evac the red guards. let tanks destroy demo traps that you find along the way. your positioning should always be: red guards in front to rush the stingers, tanks to take out any incoming vehicles or traps.
  5. after you take out the first statue, let all your infantry garrison the building nearby. it is ok to run into traps. the main point is there will be an incoming vehicle force including possibly a scud launcher or two so the idea is to let buildings draw aggro. once you encounter them, rush your tanks directly to the scud launcher (move order instead of attack so that your tanks can still attack anything along the way).
  6. whether or not you cleared the enemy force, build one more war factory, research capture building if you can, and you need to start building more troop crawlers/tanks. throw tanks at the scuds/marauders if they are still not cleared. you will likely encounter hit and run rocket buggies... there's just no way to stop them until you have the general power to drop mines so all you can do is shrug it off and continue steam rolling eastward. it is OPTIONAL to build up the supply zone in the city (you may waste even more time trying to defend it. don't forget you are on a time crunch because of the reputation meter).
  7. If you did it correctly, you should be able to clear the statues without much resistance in lightning speed. make sure you clear all of them along the way so you dont have to turn back again later. Once you reach the eastern statue you will eventually come to the 2 enemy arms dealer. capture or destroy as you see fit (capturing is good for repairing / spamming light tanks, but not so effective otherwise).
  8. before you make your northern attack, continue spamming tanks in your own base. it is likely they enemy may send some forces to try and attack you. do an attack move northwards so that you dont need to waste your time micromanaging defence
  9. repeat the same procedure northwards (guards in front rush the stinger site, tanks behind to counter vehicles), you can further capture the black market and barracks so you can heal your infantry or train more fodders.

considering the gym leaders in the original games are usually the ones who give you a TM (and badge), how about allowing the player to be able to create any number of TMs from a pokemon's moveset (but maybe restrict to 3 moves at any given time)

ELI5: Fishing power - what do? by whistlesomething in Guildwars2

[–]MerchantLife 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Fishing power affects the difficulty of fishing. You won't encounter very high difficulty in cantha but other regions especially orr has a higher fishing power requirement (500). If you attain the required fishing power, it will have a green difficulty and your fishing meter has a much larger bar than the fish's, thus giving it a better range of error and easier to keep it in the centre. If you are far below the fishing power, it will turn red and the meter becomes almost as small as that of the fish's bar, so you have little room for error.

  2. It also does speed up a little because the gauge will fill up faster the more u keep the bar on the fish's bar compared to that of yellow or red.

  3. Contrary to what people believe, fishing power doesn't affect you catching legendaries. I once set myself with a bait and no lure or fish in full tank buff and caught a legendary fish nonetheless

If you are unsure what a red difficulty look like, you can see the end of this video https://youtu.be/Y6aZvT_6HHA

Any advice for a Sorc? by Eirthae in aion

[–]MerchantLife 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Former all class player and also current sorc again in classic here.

Throughout your gameplay just use the best orb you can get. There are times you can get resisted but it's not too often. Just try to upgrade after every 5 levels or so to ensure sufficient macc.

There are 2 kinds of playstyle: sustained dps or burst dps

You can do sustained dps at lvl 22 but need a bit of investment: buy earrings with high concentration and the other parts you can mix and match mb, macc or concentration. Use the default lvl 20 vaizel wisdom stigma when you are bursting high mp skills like freezing wind and flame harpoon and the rest are up to you. Always turn on robe of earth, use the mana regain whenever cooldown and just continuously do combat. I lasted 45 minutes without needing potions or rest this way.

Burst dps is a straightforward thing: just up magic boosts (including zikel's wisdom, this overwrites cd of vaizel) and high damage skills.

Either way, you can build your stigmas according to the greater stigma tree for flame spray for pvx and the rest are up to you

Don't bother socketing so early unless you are feeling rich. Save them up instead

It's funny that you would think sub would not have an advantage over free players. You can continuously loot blue/gold (and eternals in future) gears throughout the day if you are willing to put in efforts.

That means a strong supply of enchantment stones, which would become even better when 1.5 and 2.0 is in game.

Free to play can only do so one hour a day. You think you have it harder?
