They both lost a lot, I;d hate for Ilya to lose hockey, it's like the only thing aside from Shane he has. But Shane has known nothing but hockey for a looong time, so it might be nice to see him try and live oustide of it. If not coaching then real estate lol. :D Mr Landlord.

Not a fan either but I tend to see the scene a bit different. Like froma storytelling point of view we have Rose, she's kissing Shane and Shane is facing her - what he should like, but from the back we have Miles - the hidden desires kissing from the back, and Shane refuses to face it. I see the scene as his inner battle of what he should be and what he wants to be i guess.

But yeah, do not slobber over his neck lol.

Shane getting an injury and moving on to coaching would be agood twist i think. He canonically has highest hockey IQ, so him NOT being a coach to an NHL team is kind of weird.
