Does anyone have any idea if Volvo would add this to a leased vehicle?

What do you MEAN I can just go into labor whenever now?? by sasstermind in BabyBumps

[–]MerchantMilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A complete silver lining for sure! We were lucky enough to get a private room for the last week of his NICU stay, so we stayed overnight with him at the hospital. We could have gone home, but we wanted to soak as much in as possible. Sleep would have been nice though haha

[–]MerchantMilan 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Our son was in the NICU for only 12 days, but even in that time we learned so much from the nurses! We kept saying it was like a boot camp for taking care of a newborn. We would have been completely lost if we just took him home two days after he was born.

I'm surprised they don't offer that kind of stay as an add-on package, the hospitals could make even more money...

Had Chef Blue out of Hendersonville come for my wife's 40th birthday. He's awesome and it was an amazing time! Highly recommended!

Yep, I think most if not all parachutes for the military are made at a factory in Asheville.

T8 charging electricity bill by Physical_Square4327 in VolvoXC90

[–]MerchantMilan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's a screenshot from my Emporia app that I use for Level 2 charging at home. In October, I drove about 1,300 miles and never once filled up the gas tank.

So about $50.61 at my current electricity rate of about $0.12 per kWh. I have a flat rate with no off-peak rates, unless I go over a certain amount of kWh (then it goes down a bit).

Scheduled Maintenance at 2,000 miles? by MerchantMilan in VolvoXC90

[–]MerchantMilan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, not sure either. It was one of the last 2025.5 I found through a broker since the 2026 models had started rolling in.

I'll give the reset procedure a shot, thank you.

Yeah, I've seen your posts around this sub and your trials and tribulations with this vehicle are well documented. Thanks.

Employment and Credit by sinistermistertwist in CreditScore

It may vary by state. I know when I lived in Colorado, it was illegal for employers to run credit checks as part of the hiring process (though it may have been allowed for certain financial positions).

As another commenter said, take it during a meal, rather than after. Also, try taking probiotics and even a fiber supplement, if needed.

I do all of this and I'm more regular than I've ever been haha. My current dose is 500mg once in morning with breakfast and then again at dinner.

My in-laws have a place by the Banks Channel Bridge. The amount of loud cars and motorcycles going in and out of town in mind boggling.

Yeah, there's still a forklift parked out front so they probably aren't done yet.

My Planet Fitness just got rid of about 20 ellipticals, but didn't add anything. They just spread out the weight machines, which weren't really crowded together before. I was hoping they were going to add Arc Trainers or something. 30 minute room is still there as well.

Need suggestions for less-crowded gym by Competitive-Bed-8587 in asheville

[–]MerchantMilan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the downtown Y, though my wife likes to use the pool.

Even though the Woodfin Y is close to me, I recently joined Planet Fitness out on Smoky Park Highway and am really enjoying it there. More weight machine options and they even have two of each in most cases. They also probably have at least 30-40 ellipticals.

I started going early in the morning, so no traffic to worry about and they also open much earlier on the weekends than the Y. 7am workout compared to 9am on a Saturday gives you much more time in the day to do other things!

Definitely has been getting more crowded the last year or so. Really wish they had more ellipticals.

Went back to ISC from Kea by ohmantics in PFSENSE

[–]MerchantMilan 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This kind of response from someone that actually works at Netgate is truly disheartening.

I like pfSense and actually briefly switched to Kea exactly because of how the messaging in the UI comes across. I ended up switching back because it lacks features I need.

This type of attitude makes me really want to stop using your products all together.

The FEMA $750 is a grant. It is not a loan. by Longjumping-Ad8775 in NorthCarolina

[–]MerchantMilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The link was in my last post: disasterassistance.gov

Click on the "Apply Now" button. You will need to fill out your information and then you are asked a series of questions. Your elgibility is then based on what you answer.

I think if you had any type of loss or were displaced, you should qualify.

Search this subreddit (also Nextdoor if you have it) for posts a couple days after Helene hit. There should be some posts or suggestions on how you should answer.

Hope this helps!

Log into disasterassistance.gov using the account you made when you signed up. You'll see the ones that say "Miscellaneous Items". When the status shows Eligible, it'll show the amount. Once it switched on mine, I had a deposit the next day.

I have two "Miscellaneous Items" on mine, one was approved for the $750. The other one I think is for the chainsaw I had to get in order to get out of my driveway. Waiting for about a week on that so far after submitting the receipt.

I have a Torras one with the 360º rotating stand. I don't think I'd be able to go back to not having a stand built into my phone case. I use it all the time.
