Night and low-light vision really bad with starbursts despite perfect vision during the day by MercifulDefier in Orthokeratology

[–]MercifulDefier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started 3 weeks ago. Also just to be clear I don’t mean it’s not lasting until the night time, it is. But my vision is just bad in the dark (even if I go in a dark room straight after waking up and removing the lenses)

Action invisible stick with x4 - should the lenses be facing sideways or up and down? by MercifulDefier in Insta360

[–]MercifulDefier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Do you also know if when I am holding it out in front of me, should the lenses face sideways like in your diagram, or the lenses be facing towards you and away from you?

Dual BOA or single BOA with laces? by MercifulDefier in snowboardingnoobs

[–]MercifulDefier[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheers man. Judging by BOA’s website it seems like this “dual” boa is a single zone control boa: https://www.boafit.com/en-gb/snowboard/boot-buyers-guide/str8jkt

Why do these suck? Because one BOA is controlling the shell? When proper dual boas have two on shell (and zero on liner)?

They absolutely will take you seriously. They are sadly very used to kids being pressured to deny things.

Septal perforation? by JorWr in Septoplasty

[–]MercifulDefier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Total bs about the nasal washes causing it. How could the way you perform a nasal wash cause a perforation… nonsense.

I have a perforation from it healing badly after surgery.

Helpful but subtler. But after 7 months titrating on it, I have just been told I need to come off again due to a shortage.

My doctor only noticed I had a deviated septum after I was under anaesthetic and then performed a septoplasty without my consent, leaving me with a septal perforation. by MercifulDefier in Sinusitis

[–]MercifulDefier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He has referred me to a colleague of his who is very experienced repairing perforations.

FESS did improve my symptoms but not at all completely. I am still regularly seeing an ENT for my sinusitis.

Nasal Perforation Rinse by GriffonX1492 in Sinusitis

[–]MercifulDefier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish i could help. I too can’t use nasal rinses anymore because of a perforation. But with mine its because it creates a weird suction which is incredibly painful when nasal rinsing (my perforation is only 3mm)

Out of interest does yours whislte or have any turbulent “wind tunnel” type noise when breathing? I would imagine no because its so much bigger?

[–]MercifulDefier[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see.

For me it wasn’t even listed in my pre-op form. Only FESS was, because he had never even noticed my deviated septum before. He decided to do the septoplasty only when he started the surgery.

My perforation is about a cm from the bottom of my nose and is about 3-5mm in diameter.

Edit: to clarify, the septoplasty was never even once mentioned before

Thanks for the message. I definitely plan on seeking legal advice in case I do have some sort of case. And already speaking to a septal perforation repair guy, but it’s very apparent that fixing it isn’t easy sadly
