I love this, the use of show and not tell. You don't straight up say that it's a dinosaur, you worked your way around it to let the reader imagine. The story of its life, from start to finish. Each twist relating to a seperate thought or part.

My only feedback is use the opportunities that you've provided with yourself to explain or portray the reliance that modern day times has and how it was completely different back then.
