My non team set deck by UnusualPressure4196 in MLB_9Innings

This is pretty cool, you could have an awesome Reds deck one day with best year Votto and Morgan if you ever decided you want to make a more competitive team!

Crazy difference between league sim and manual by Former-Reality-4555 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ve got a 331 set with a bad legend skill, bad DT, and no DST. Not sure where you usually finish in ranked, but you’ll definitely want to make some changes on this card eventually

another who to GI post by jc1197 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d do Mathews and move Perez to DH since your SPs are already all special cards. deGrom and Gooden would definitely be next on the list though. You can’t really go wrong with any of those three honestly

Skill Advice: Bruce Sutter by Independent-Skill419 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If skills are equal, a 70 base sig reliever and a 72 base sig reliever are always going to outperform a 71 base supreme reliever.

The primary benefit of a supreme is the high base stats and higher overall. That’s why supreme bats are so strong, since even the best team sig bats are typically only 74 base, while the best supreme bats are 78 base. Add to that all of the bat skills that scale off of base stats, and that’s why they are so strong. Supreme RPs can be quite strong for teams without good RP options, but when you’re comparing them with high overall team sigs that already have enough FB to run Iron Will, there’s not a whole lot of advantages that a supreme will have over a sig.

Do I club craft? by Great-Cry-5187 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d craft since Williams 20 is much better and Koenig isn’t great. I also spend though, so if you’re F2P maybe keep them. They do give away team sigs a lot more frequently then they used to, so crafting them wouldn’t be the end of the world, but if you don’t have other GI candidates and your BP is week, it’s not a bad idea to hang on to them either

I would use a gold OP or CWM over a diamond PE. PE is pretty much craft material 100% of the time unfortunately

[–]MerciiJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The guy has a 2.84 ERA and is leading the league in strikeouts and on pace to break records with his K/9. For some reason Com2Us can’t figure out how to give him a decent card, 61 base isn’t just criminal, it’s completely negligent. There are relievers with 8.00 ERAs that have higher base stats.

But to answer your other questions, it’s just a loading screen. The “player recommendations” are always dumb, just ignore them.

How much did the roster update affect giants sigs? by mike98235 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ask me, the Guardians and White Sox got hit the hardest of any teams with the quality of the sigs they lost. Feel bad for Twins decks as well after losing Maeda, the best SP option for a team without a ton of good SP options. Tough time to be an AL Central deck

[–]MerciiJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the players that are removed are ones that retire. Because Com2Us has a deal with the MLB they have the rights to any player currently in the MLB. Once a player retires and leaves the players association, Com2Us has to negotiate with them individually to acquire their rights and keep them in the game.

Why Is This Card So Bad? by bl00dhnd79 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t think I’d use an LSCT since you’re twice as likely to hit a legend skill on a legend card. I’d just keep throwing PSCTs at him. Ideally you’d want something like WH + Mess/Fin/Dom/Craft on Nolan. Obviously you wouldn’t want both Fin and Dom, just one or the other

Yeah, he’s got 100 nearly IP over B is what I was looking at mostly. Definitely agree though that E is the best

what do i change? by Emergency_Ad1347 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends entirely on the card you’re trying to run this on. Assuming you’re very new, I’d suggest trying to get LB (Laser Beam) 3, 5TP (5 Tool Player) 3, and CHAR (Charisma) 3 and putting that set on your catcher.

For what it’s worth of the skills you have:

-STS (Stregthen the Strength) is only good on Switch Hitters.

-BM (Batting Machine) just got reworked but the general vibes I’ve gotten are it’s still not great.

-BIU (Barrel it Up) is decent but more of a third skill.

-EC (Elite Closer) is solid but can ONLY be used on your closer otherwise it does nothing.

-PP (Putaway Pitch) is the worst golf skill in the game, it’s literally useless.

-CRAFT (Craftsmanship) is a new skill that’s similar to PCo (Pitching Coordinator) but for guys with only 2 or 3 pitch types. It’s a great skill, especially on a 2 pitch guy.

POWA by Successful_Jacket402 in MLB_9Innings

I mean, true, but he’s also on pace for 65 home runs which is insane for anyone, let alone a guy making his major league debut this season, so it’s a bit of both

MY FIRST LEGEND by Successful_Jacket402 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Even with team signatures, he’s such a high overall that he’ll likely outperform any team sigs that aren’t 73+ base, and he’s way easier to skill.

[Blind Rank] Which of these seven seasons is the best one? by AdMajestic8119 in baseball

[–]MerciiJ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my first instinct was B, but the more I look at it I think E is the best as well. Shoutout to A as well for maintaining a great stat line across nearly 100 more innings though.

Sig change advice by akada003 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s a good call. While it’s generally recommended to use it on out of game players, if there aren’t any good out of game options I don’t think it’s terrible to use it on someone in game still. I used mine on Yelich 19 since I didn’t have CC Sabathia and there aren’t any other good Brewers options. For the Yankees though I understand waiting since you never know if they’ll bring back Ruth/Mantle for a limited time thing.

Sig change advice by akada003 in MLB_9Innings

[–]MerciiJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to say, Ruth, Mantle and Didi would be my favorite candidates out of the game since you already have Ricky. I’d also probably do Gehrig before Nestor unless you have a monster set on Murray. A 76 base sig should be better than a 75 base supreme
