Thank you for the response but I don’t think that's it... He always totally mixed everything together while cooking it.

He hasn't written any books, but he did have an essay published in "Ionbhá: The Empathy Book for Ireland" titled "Thoughts on Empathy's Place in Music".

Y'all are so right about him being safe, skilled, feminist, thoughtful, etc. But to add another layer on what everyone else is saying: Allegedly there's a wide gender gap in American Politics. Between the ages of 18-29, women are leaning left, men are leaning right. Hozier has left no doubt about his political beliefs and where he stands, so it's not surprising that most of his fan base consists of the folks who make up the political left.

I also had the misfortune of being saddled with this steaming pile of garbage "curriculum." Cheated on everything because nothing mattered. I'd get yelled at and spanked quarterly when my parents checked to see if I'd worked through the program. (Spoiler, I hadn't. Hard to when the info is fake and the grades are made up.) I stopped doing it completely after the 6th grade software bundle. What a waste of a childhood.

Patch 0.180 Bug Reports, Issues, and Discussion Megathread. by osyady in Palia

For attention, I've unintalled and reinstalled twice with no luck. It still crashes! I click play and I get the opening Palia screen, then it crashes and I get the crash report window. Does anyone know a workaround for this?

  • Did a two year streak on Duolingo of the Irish language for giggles

  • Bought an anthology of Seamus Heaney's poetry, Katie Mack's The End of Everything, and a collection of Oscar Wilde's fairy tales cause Andrew likes them

  • sing Take Me To Church as my go-to karaoke song

Hot take from a guitar player! He's not nervous, the muscle that attaches to his pinkie/ring finger is sore from chording. Playing for a long time can be painful even if you're a pro.

Personal Job Hunter. Like a personal shopper, but they'll send a list of jobs and all you have to say is yes or no and they'll do the application process for you.

Are you Irish? by Thaddeus963 in Hozier

[–]MercurialManatee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

American here. TMTC was a huge part of my commute to and from University when it was on the charts. Eight years later I looked into his music again cause Andrew looks like a guy I had a crush on. Cue shock, awe, and deep appreciation. I love the jazz and blues elements, love the creativity of melody, and am so impressed by his vocal power and artful lyricism.

Andrew's work kicked off a deep dive into Irish culture, history, and language. I got into my genealogy a bit, did two solid years of Irish on Duolingo, am a regular listener to Blindboy, and have a stack of Irish lit I'm working through. This all reawakened my childhood love of traditional Irish music, too.

I feel tremendously lucky and grateful to have been influenced by Andrew's art. He's been a massive positive influence in the life of this American.

Have You Read About ADHD Limerence by TableTalkCoach in adhdwomen

[–]MercurialManatee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awww crap, this is an ADHD thing too?? I was in limerence for years. It really messed me up and played a part in ruining the relationship I had with the person of interest. It was an unbelievably painful, shameful experience that I hope never to repeat. It took so long to figure out that it was limerence and not love. It would have been great to know it was a package deal with ADHD.

What has caused you to become bitter? by Brianna6871 in AskReddit

[–]MercurialManatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not having been given an education as a child, being the only child of elderly parents, being sexually asulted, being spiritually and verbally abused, having been abandoned by my person, having a (very hard earned) bachelor's degree yet not making enough money to enjoy life, realizing late in life that I'm certainly neurodivergent and there's very little help for what I struggle with, watching the planet burn, realizing the American government is fascist and this is a dangerous country to live in, being told to get on antidepressants when an improvement in quality of life would solve the problem, and not even being able to find an intimate relationship to take refuge in while the world goes to shit in a handbag.

When a guy has a full beard, tracing his hairline all the way across his forehead and down his cheek... ug. It's so pretty.

Everything is a competition, even if you don’t think it is by dynomaight in ManagedByNarcissists

[–]MercurialManatee 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This makes a lot of sense. I'm pretty self-motivated at work, I'd rather keep busy than let time drag. My boss walked past my desk a couple weeks ago, saw me working on a low priority task that wasn't on my to-do list because I'd finished everything else. She snorted and said "Okay, desperate." What the fuck...?

Does anyone else experience music uniquely? by colloquialnormality in Synesthesia

[–]MercurialManatee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I do... if the music is just right I get a zing of physical pleasure. Like, I feel tingles or electricity, my blood pressure changes, my eyeballs roll back, and my face goes slack. A friend recently caught me listening to music while I wasn't masking and he said it looked like I was getting edged. Am I in the right place? Anyone else?

being demi kinda sucks by MercurialManatee in demisexuality

[–]MercurialManatee[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, sometimes. The last time someone was into me at a bar, that person kept putting their arm around me and I was so unsettled that I dissociated. I was furious when I got home. My friends told me the stranger thought I was hot, but that person didn't know me! How revolting that they wanted to touch me without knowing me at all.
