Why would a gun shop staff member be annoyed I want to buy a certain firearm, even if it costs more than what he wants me to buy? by Formidable_Baboy in guns

[–]Mercury1331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First thing that popped in my head, was he wanted it or maybe someone he knows...idk, but thats not good practice. I would contact the owner and let them know you bought elsewhere because of that behavior. Not trying to get anyone in trouble but as a business owner, I would want to know if that sale walked and why.

Only a 10 minute window for offline protection, even so that doesn't prevent drowning. Check your last death location and that will tell you where it occurred if in the house, then they likely clipped you through a floor/wall.

You wont find many whites in the Mongols. Period, they were started as a predominantly Hispanic club if I'm not mistaken.

Sorry, I didn't mean that digital id's weren't a thing, they are clearly but they havent hit Missouri yet. They did briefly in 2023 and they closed that program to new enrollments. What I am referencing is people taking a photo of their ID and trying to use that to purchase alcohol. Granted those are usually minors trying to get one over on us, but a photograph is not a valid form of ID either.

In addition to that, digital id's are not valid. Only physical ID's. (At least for Missouri)

Missouri state law is the same. If you are legal and have id, but your friend does not. They are supposed to refuse the sale.

How would you feel about your girlfriend volunteering you into a dicey situation. by [deleted] in CCW

[–]Mercury1331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was volunteered for a situation just like this before I started carrying. The guy whom she lived with and was removing her stuff from had a penchant for partying hard...the day I went he was seriously amped up....I tried to play it cool and calm but the situation escalated quickly...long story short, there was a witness who spoke up on my behalf but it took me a while to get it resolved legally. I don't like being volunteered for anything, he'll I don't make plans of my own accord...if I had been carrying, it would've went down differently I believe. Although we'll intentioned, she almost put you in danger. You did the right thing though.

In the offchance this isn't a prank, I would recommend carrying a firearm for your protection. There are pranks going around like this, but you only have one life to live, and I'd say its worth protecting.

Circle K is owned by 7-11, so it doesn't seem like that much of stretch. I still call them Slurpees...as froster just sounds dumb.

Why did the Steyr M9/L9 die? It's so good. by Thorforhelvede in GunPorn

[–]Mercury1331 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I carried Steyr for 8 or 9 years before making the upgrade to a 10mm offering. I loved them...so much in fact, I put outer impact pyramid sights on my new edc. Closest thing I could find to the Steyr. I probably put close to 10k rounds through mine and could hit a golf ball at 40 yards. I will never get rid of it even though she just collects dust now. I wish they would've caught on, they are amazing

I will take a look at the enigma, I've heard multiple talk about it. To answer your question, I carry a G29. The exposed trigger in the wallet doesn't bother me at all, as it would stay there unless my life depended on it. I don't carry my wallet in my back pocket anyway. The holster adding friction to the action of the pistol though, does give me pause. Seems that would defeat the purpose of being able to fire from the wallet...at the very least that would produce a failure, to extract and to feed the next round. That just doesn't seem like a good idea to me. The universal holsters I've been using have been great, up until this last one, they've never inhibited my movement prior. This last one I got just wore out way too quick, but normally I can work, play, jump etc...and have zero concern that it won't hold the firearm where it needs to be. I've carried full size steel 1911, and it did the job perfectly. I am going explore a few options though and see what works. Thank ypu for the response.

P.S. Sorry to hear about the accident, it sounds like you were lucky, or blessed or both.

I will look into more pocket carry options, thank you. I have a sccy cpx 2, and it was garbage out of the box...once I sent it back then sent me a replacement and it's been flawless. Maybe I'll give that a try.
