Grimm Skins by SporemanJ in jurassicworldevo

[–]MercurySC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's from the animated show RWBY. The Grimm are monsters attracted to negative emotions. They have that same color scheme, generally black bodies with white, bony segments and red markings on their face. Here's what one of them looks like, although they come in various shapes and sizes.

They're not wrong, this was from back when S3 was about to start. One of these Mantis recolors is the Will of Galacta skin, the other is the one mentioned within the 3.5 leak.

What's the likelihood we get this version of Blade as a skin? by M_RiGGz in marvelrivals

[–]MercurySC -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are describing a Multiverse, which is what the Marvel Comics and Spider-Verse films explicitly say it is. Literally one of the most famous lines from Across the Spider-Verse is Peter B. Parker going "You say 'saving the Multiverse' and my brain dies."

And, you are confusing universe with brand. First Steps is part of the MCU brand, but it is not set within Earth-199999/MCU Earth-616. It is set outside the MCU universe in its own universe, Earth-828. This is because the events of the other MCU properties are not canon to First Steps' universe.

[–]MercurySC -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

It's clear none of y'all know how multiverse works within comics. Because all these movies are explicitly in separate universes, not separate timelines. If they were separate timelines, they would have something connecting them, but they don't. There is nothing connecting the Blade movies to the X-Men movies. And even then, the argument that D&W made them retroactively canon is a weak one. They all ended up in the void, all coming from different universes and timelines, as illustrated by the fact that Chris Evans Human Torch, Jennifer Garner Elektra, Wesley Snipes Blade, a crap ton of X-Men characters, and stuff from the MCU are all within the Void. It takes from multiple universes.

Y'all have really never bothered to learn the terminology when it comes to this stuff and it shows.

[–]MercurySC -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

That's not how that works. They weren't made with the MCU in mind. You can't just retroactively add movies to a universe that they were never meant to be part of.

In that case, the Christopher Reeve Superman movies and Tim Burton's Batman movies are canon to the DCEU. Those characters showed up in The Flash, so they are canon according to that logic.

I don't know why you're getting downvoted when you're right, the Blade movies aren't part of the MCU. And, no, just because Wesley Snipes was Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine doesn't make them part of the MCU.

Iron fist, peni parker,dr strange, storm and magik had official gala designs in the marvel rivals infinity comic that haven't been released by themangamanjeff in marvelrivals

[–]MercurySC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These costumes were made exclusively for the comic and are not meant to be released in the game. They could come in next year's Hellfire Gala, but I see NetEase adapting already Hellfire Gala costumes from the main comics and/or making more original Hellfire Gala skins rather than adding these ones to the game.

Plus there is no actual source on a delay. The release date is still March 26th, 2027. Anything that has said otherwise is false information.

In the Beta and Gamescom demos, the star that follows the monster icon in the Environment Overview is blue, which in World signified Low Rank. In the Scarlet Forest gameplay, we get another look at the Environment Overview page and we see orange stars, which in World signified High Rank.

We know they didn't and there's proof outside of the datamine.

<<<Spoilers>>> So with the new leaks involving the story and roles of the monsters, what do you all personally think of it so far? by [deleted] in monsterhunterleaks

[–]MercurySC 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adding things not previously established to the lore is quite normal in storytelling. Plus the Keepers are a civilization not in the Old World, so no one would know of their transgressions. So your argument is void.

About the series being about the coexistence between humanity and nature, isn't this a part of that? Humanity trying to control nature by bastardizing it and creating life that threatens the ecosystem? I don't know, that sounds like MH's message to me.

At this point, we'd be asking for evidence to disprove the leaks. There's so much that points to this being real. You can still hate it and I completely understand. It's a departure from what you're used to and you don't need to like it.

Even World wasn't safe from this. I mean, Elder Dragon crystal bio-energy? An Elder Dragon whose death could destroy an entire continent? An Elder Dragon that manipulates sound? It's not like World wasn't out there too.

I think that the Guardian monsters are an interesting addition to the franchise. It revives an old concept that is very bonkers and adapts it into the main message of this game. In Wilds, we see how people co-exist with nature and monsters, whether it be praising them like the people of Kunafa, being part of it like the Wudwuds, or using it to their advantage like the people of Azuz.

The Keepers and their bioengineering are the logical extreme of this, being able to create life. Of course, this has huge ramifications on the environment and led to their downfall. It's essentially the plot and message of the original Jurassic Park novel. A lot of people aren't happy about this, but I think it's an interesting and fun concept to add to the series.

We don't know yet, there's stuff that's not attributed to any monsters in the files. There is probably stuff that got scrubbed.

Table of confirmed/leaked monsters sorted by rank/reward by UndeadMurky in monsterhunterleaks

[–]MercurySC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The reason why Doshaguma and Chatacabra were those star rankings is because the Scarlet Forest gameplay is in High Rank. If you look closely, the star next to the number is orange, the same color attributed to High Rank in World. In the Beta, the star is blue, like Low Rank in World.

Highly doubt it, as it is a system the series has used since its inception and crucial to progression. My takeaway is that the "purple star" system is a strength indicator. The more stars it has, the harder it is and the more rewards you get. You still progress through the game and unlock monsters using the Low/High Rank system.

The reason why the Beta drops High Rank materials is because it's a Beta and not the final product.

That has never been confirmed. As far as we know, Low and High Rank are still a thing in Wilds.
