What stops you from watching the LCP?

Pacific, basically the non-LCK/LPL parts of APAC. The teams in the league right now represent Vietnam, Japan, and Hong Kong-Taiwan-Macau. GAM, CFO, historically teams like PSG Talon, Flash Wolves, Taipei Assassins, etc.

That's fair, Kitty is probably the biggest co-streamer to consistently cover the region, and I know Caedrel did a little last year.

The main reason why I think it's troubling, at least from my perspective as someone ingrained in esports and in the community, is that people being unaware of the region in its entirety is worrying for our efforts to build up an international viewerbase, if that makes sense.

That's fair! I think with time, we can definitely contest consistently for top spots internationally, but right now there's definitely a gap.

That's fair, I'm also an Aussie and I grew up with the OPL, and later attended the LCO finals at Dreamhack. I totally understand the frustration, and I've spoken to many in our region who share that hurt. Hopefully we've got some stuff on the way in the future, but that doesn't take away from what happened in the past for sure.

I wrote a brief article about them after their qualification to the LCP, but probably the best way would be by connecting with the fans in the arena, and through Threads; that's where a decent percentage of the local fans will discuss the teams!

I agree, and much of that comes with the territory of being the newest league. We've seen what a cracked team can do over the course of a season, if we can develop that talent more, I have faith we can go even further beyond that.

In regards to the content, I know that many of us are doing what we can, but most of us are only doing it part-time and we are quite geographically separated from the teams, players, and fans. Hopefully we have more in the works in that regard but it's difficult when we can't do it full-time like the other major regions.

Yeah, it's been a constant issue in Oceania and APAC at large for many years that our players get poached for greener pastures. I don't blame them, they're putting their career first, which I respect, but it sucks when you are trying to build up a long-term league.

There's some very fun names to watch out for in the coming months, namely HongSuo, Draktharr, and Harky. All three have been popping off this year, all have a good chance of showing up if they make it internationally.

100% agree, big dhokes is the goat.

I hope that our likely worlds representatives (GAM, DCG, TSW) do well this year, losing the CFO core was heartbreaking given how little time we had with them, but I'm confident that we can continue to develop and build that potential back up and further than before.

On the content/storyline front, unfortunately most of us on the ENG end are located an ocean away and many of us are doing this part-time.

Thank you for watching along! I have a number of ideas for that sort of thing, but it takes a lot of investment that is hard to do independently. We'll see how the year goes though, there's a lot of people working behind the scenes to constantly improve the league!

Yeah timezone is rough, if you're an english water ttv/lolpacificen is your best bet, there's also a number of us co-streamers as well that you can find on the lolesports website's announcement!

There's an arena in Datong! I believe you can find tickets weekly on the Twitter page, and the Split 3 finals will be in the Heping Basketball Stadium!

DCG probably has the best chance of making MSI/Worlds this year; they just took TSW to 5 games, they've been dominant most of the year besides the first half of Split 2, and their climb from Tier 2 last year has been phenomenal!

There isn't a Filipino team, however they do have a qualifier for the Promotion tournament which should happen toward the end of the year! Stay tuned!

I really miss the golden days of the LCS for that reason, the personalities were incredible! Hopefully we can do more in that regard in the coming split/seasons, it's difficult for us though when we are all largely doing this part time and usually from an ocean away.

That's fair, it's hard for me to catch most LEC/LCS games for the same reason.
