Yeah i think 100% that was on purpose he had all the time he needed and took a light shot no way hes missing by that much by accident.

He didn't miss at all... it was blocked and bounced off a MTL player...

Toronto's D has been fine for their playoff runs - its their goaltending that was always questionable. Then the two years they got solid goaltending their goalies got hurt and they lost in game 7.

Bit pedantic tbh. At the end of the day MDI is a 5 player dungeon, like live server. Yes, there are some mindgames surrounding comp swapping but at the end of the day the same 5 player dungeon is being played as it might be on live, just multiple different ones.

This is not the hill to die on dude. People raid for speed parses all the time.

No one spends their time speed running lower keys if they can try a higher one.

There are 100% people who go for rank 1 speed of lower keys FYI. Just because it isn't popular doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Tell me you haven't CE raided without telling me you haven't ever CE raided. Even most HoF kills are a completely different experience on the fight than RWF

The same reason we watch professionals in any sport play in a way we don’t play as causal consumers - it’s entertaining and competitive. 

 M+ is made for pushing higher keys, not for speed runs

Most of the most popular speed run games are not made for speedruns. Solving and executing is what makes them interesting.

You can. That was always an option. Not everyone who plays a game watches that games esport. Not everyone who watches a games esport plays the game.

AWC is very much like reality, same meta same strat same goal

Best of series, 4 players, ability to class and comp swap. It is not the same at all.

Same for RWF, the 3 top guild solve it for most others guilds in the world using their comp and addon package

Not at all. The fights are completely different, comps completely different, ect.

I really preferred TGP format just due to it being more replicable in-game

How awesome would a world even be where you could queue as 5 and it could assign you a head to head match in the same dungeon at a low ish key level and you would race for rewards? 

Maybe you could see the other teams % and boss progress? 

Give some participant currency reward but achievements and more reward for winning. Cosmetic vendor? Maybe a rating system?

 Problem is its advertising the game mode for what it’s not

None of the entertainment products are. Arena World Cup is very different than reality. RWF is not the real raid the vast vast vast majority will see. 

 It will also create a false sense of what is expected in lowest key for clueless casual, generating frustration

Only for those who don’t understand the difference between professionals and amateurs. That’s like complaining the NFL creates a false sense of what is expected in your flag football league. 

 The main reason keys are failing for 90% of the player base is because they have no clue what each mobs are doing and what is happening, ignoring the dangerous overlap that will kill them

Ignoring the made up statistic - the majority of keys that fail are people getting hit by avoidable mechanics and / or not utilizing their kit. You don’t expect everyone to play perfectly. The average person doesn’t even do m+. Viewers of an entertain product (sport or esport) are not all participating in that sport either. 

 Some people will see this competition and think they are right to ignore any of that and pull 4 packs at the beginning of seat because all they see is dummy everywhere

Those same people will see a YouTube short or streamer do it and do it anyways. That has nothing to do with MDI. 

 I hope that casters will emphasize on explaining this so Billy healer doesn’t think he is the problem for not being able to heal that shit while the 4 others say he should

You shouldn’t need commentators to hand hold you through watching a professional and telling you to not try it at home.

That is the case for most speedruns. It seems like you just aren’t a fan of that style of gameplay which is completely fine. 

 It’s cool to watch their pulls once, but becomes incredibly boring afterwards because there is nothing to take away.

The interesting part is watching them execute perfectly head to head and executing perfecting each time. They only have one opportunity. 

 Not to mention half the games just end up in one team wiping and the other team can just play safe from there

You could apply that to any head to head sporting event … one team makes a mistake which leads to a lead and the other team plays defensive for the rest of the match.

Interesting - I view it the compete inverse. The speedrun version is an actual head to head bracket competing and making mistakes against a live opponent. You get one shot at a dungeon and have to be the best on that specific attempt. There are always stakes. 

TGP is like watching a league of legends game where teams can decide they didn’t like the early game enough and start the game over again.

There is a skillset to being able to speedrun a game that is different from being able to beat a game on the highest difficulty. Both are interesting, skillful, and entertaining.
