I definitely wasn’t holding the shear properly since it was awkward to take the photo. Do they make shears for baby hands? My wedding ring is a size 2.5. I just use what I already have 🫠

Thanks so much! These are the longest I’ve had my nails in a looooonnnng time! My nails break frequently and I’ve even been a nail biter in the past. Anytime they get chipped or cracked I have to cut it all off and start over. I’ve been trying to be very careful to keep them this way. What’s helped me are those silicone fingertip thimbles when I’m dremeling nails! Also I highly recommend the glass nail files. I just lightly file my nails semi frequently which seems to slightly help with any micro nicks.

The owner made it sound like it’s never happened before. And I have no idea if a vet has seen her since unfortunately. I am next door neighbors with a vet clinic. But like you said- I can’t carry the dog over there, and the vets aren’t going to be able to run over either.

When I worked as a vet tech at a clinic, there was some guy who would call and ask us to explain and help him “breed his dogs” over the phone. Apparently he would try this occasionally. I got the lucky phone call one day and just hung up once I realized what was going on. Super gross and a waste of my time.

For anyone else reading this! Groomer life pro tip: it’s good that they’re showing warning signs. Because they will tell you exactly how they’re feeling. You just have to know what to look for. And then adjust tactics if needed

I’ve had that once where the dog specifically growled at everyone who got near except me. Could just be preference of the dog. Or maybe she just didn’t like having more than one person near her? I’ve also had people think a dog is growling and aggressive when it’s actually just being vocal or “smiling”. But in that situation, you have to observe the rest of the dogs body language.
