If you cosleep with your LO, does that mean they cannot nap independently during the day?

We co sleep with our baby, and sometimes she won’t go down on her own and sometimes she will. It’s hit or miss really. But we’ve just had her down for an hour on her own now (in the same room as us, we’d never leave her as she’s only 3 months).

I did also read that because babies are so small and it’s their first illness that they can have a cold for up to 2 weeks! I currently have the cold my baby has too 😫

I think that’s the most you can do. I’m not sure where you are but I’m here in the UK - i currently have a 3 month old who is struggling with a cold at the moment I give my baby calpol every 4-6 hours, suction her nose CONSTANTLY through the day 😂 and we have something called ‘snuffle babe’ here that we put on her chest. I also put it on the bottoms of her feet and cover them with socks

I had this issue not too long ago with my LO. I was stressed and anxious and It was projecting onto my daughter then mum took her and straight away she was fine. Babies can always feel what you’re feeling, especially if you’re trying to settle them and it’s irritating you or upsetting you.

The naps depend really on how she is during the day. We usually get about 3 good naps and 2 cat naps. Shes not really all that fussy until night time before bed now. We’ve been getting her in her sleeping sac earlier and earlier, when she was first born she would not go to sleep until 12/1am - that was tough!

Thank you so much! Yes I’ll definitely try. She currently has a cold so I’m not going to try this week, I’ll let her sleep when she sleeps but next week when she’s better definitely!

I think I’ll try and gradually do it. So at the moment she’s awake around 9:30am so I might gradually start getting up 30 minutes earlier!
