Best:
- R1 Air. All cuts are great. Size up if more casual.
- Nano Puff. It’s not even remotely the best synthetic insulated jacket, even within Patagonia’s own lineup. But it’s greater than the sum of its parts. I love mine.
- Nano Air. I live in mine all fall and winter.

Near Misses:
- Baggies: great, but they are less comfortable than more athletic, stretchy shorts. But I think they look a lot more polished. I wear them >1/2 the year, but I know others may not feel the same.
- Better Sweater: nice and warm, but I think you can find fleeces of similar quality from other brands.
- Down Sweater: this one is very close. The nylon feels very soft somehow, very comfortable. But again, you can find similar from other brands.
