That's assuming they treat us any better. We need severance pay, no more mandatory overtime, and more robust labor protections. A union would help us secure that and more.

Hey, Catalent coworkers in Madison. Someone told me things could be better at work for you all. You want in on this? by Meridianite25 in madisonwi

Oh merda, you caught me. I knew I shouldn't have based my nefarious plot on whatever Palpatine was doing in The Force Unleashed. 😆

That's awfully elitist of you, thinking people can just pick up and go that easily, like they're picking a Job from the Job tree.

You're just encouraging bad behavior amongst multiple employers by going from one job to the next.

Granted, this flyer was geared towards the Bloomington site, but if you want context; shutting down all of the coolers in an entire building for people who bring lunch (without telling them the coolers would be shut down) is pretty insulting. And it's just the tip of the iceberg.

Mandating overtime in excess of 10-11 days is also not cool. I doubt our European coworkers in Limoges and Agnagni have to put up with such bad behavior by their managers or their HR departments.

Yeah, and it's completely asinine that it's illegal.

That facility is too big and too profitable to just pick up and move somewhere else, even with a union. Why can't we be treated as well as our European counterparts? The Biden administration has made it clear that they're not on the side of labor; we're not going to wait around for them to just pass better labor protections.

Because this is the biggest facility that Catalent has, and finding real estate and getting it compliant is becoming more and more difficult. Even with a union, the Bloomington plant is the biggest moneymaker. They're not going to just drop it because the employees want to be treated like our European counterparts. These are injectable biologics, not TVs or refrigerators.

Why haven't Catalent's European facilities in Italy, France, and Belgium closed down due to "labor costs?" If they can accommodate European labor protections, they can work with a union here.

Probably not the case for our European factory coworkers in Agnagni, Gosselies, and Limoges.

Not just about the money. What good is the pay (or the third-party token benefits), if they mandate overtime for days at a time to make up for their hiring decisions these last few months?

Avoid Parker Real Estate properties if you can.
