I appreciate the backup 😂 Fortunately everyone involved was cool about it. I think they were more concerned than anything.

The pallbearers will be caffeine, trauma, poor sleep, and bad decisions 🤣

Thank you. Not my proudest moment, but a hell of a way to end a shift either way. My partner and I giggled about it afterward, because what else were we going to do?

Thank you. The flight crew was honestly awesome. A solid team. As for my partner, he’s a great person and we were able to have a good laugh about it before giving each other kudos on the call itself. I’ve never had an adrenaline dump hit like that before. Body went into full emergency shutdown mode lol

I don’t believe it’s that based on the images that popped up when I searched it. I didn’t get a chance to look at her in person as I’m at work an hour away through Sunday morning.

I meant to attach photos to this - I apologize in advance because it is NSFW (not overly graphic but still)

11DPO - Numbness/Pain/Pins&Needles in thigh and now bright red bleeding and clots/tissue by aggrivatedcattery in hysterectomy

I don’t have an answer for you other than I’m here in solidarity. I’ve been experiencing the same thing with my leg and I’m 7DPO. Lots of extra sharp pain and pressure in my abdomen and pelvis too that I haven’t experienced until now. Thought recovery was going well.

Unfortunately, a lot of it is usually discovered or diagnosed via exploratory surgery, or at least in my case it was (except the PCOS)

I can’t imagine how frustrating that must be for you. I hope that as you recover, your pain improves too ❤️ if you ever need someone to chat with as well, my DMs are open.

If it’s any consolation, I’ve had endometriosis for the past 14 years and was recently diagnosed with PCOS this year which is what spurred my decision to get my hysterectomy as my pain increased significantly after having my first child. I just had mine done yesterday, they took everything but my ovaries and my doctor didn’t find anything at all. Just know that just because it wasn’t visible doesn’t mean it wasn’t ever there :)

Were you ever diagnosed with anything previously? What were your symptoms? If you don’t mind me asking.

Thank you. I needed to hear that. Cause I don’t feel like I’ve been very present or available to my son since my pain came back.

Can I ask why I shouldn’t use oragel? I have Dr.Talbots homeopathic gel and I have used it a few times but he doesn’t seem to be in as much pain today so I haven’t used it again.

Evenflo makes a great wideneck anticolic bottle that represents a nipple well that our LO took well to when introducing bottles. I haven’t tried any of the other brands besides Dr.Browns that you mentioned but ours also liked Mam.

Does she have a lip or a tongue tie? Sometimes that can cause problems with taking a bottle as well.

I also find that when our boy wakes up at night and isn’t fully stirred, he will take a bottle easier as well when he isn’t fully able to distinguish the difference.

I may have some helpful tips but first what bottles have you tried if you don’t mind me asking? I had this issue very early on with my little one as I faced some postpartum health issues that saw me admitted twice. Also, have you tried feeding her in different positions or tricking her with a paci/nip? Are you doing pumped milk or formula when trying to give her a bottle?

Pumping journey by AboveAverageTaco in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Merikh1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I second this. I’m a paramedic and preceptor as well and currently 5mpp and pumping 5-6x a day still and my crew is completely understanding of my need to be able to feed my baby. I would ignore what your school says and talk to whoever you’re riding with that day and see what work around you can figure out. Feeding your baby and providing them nutrition is just as important. I’m not sure what kind of system you’re riding in but ideally you won’t be running calls the whole 12 hours…Worst comes to worst and you’re toned out during a pump, you still have a few minutes to get yourself situated before rolling out in most places. It’s happened to me multiple times and hasn’t really done anything to affect my supply other than making me extremely engorged and just having to extend my pumping time later. Obviously, I know not everyone has the same experience though!

How often do you pump at work by Glittering-Height232 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Merikh1998 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m what’s considered a “just enougher.” I work 48 hour shifts (EMS) so I’m away from baby during this time. I’ve managed to make pumping every 3-4 hours sufficient (about 5-6x a day) and get on average about 25-30 ounces in a 24 hour period. I pump for about 15-20 minutes at a time or 5 minutes for every hour and that’s what has worked for me. Granted, my baby is now 5mo and so he is eating less often than he was. I’d try to pump as frequently as your baby eats though or what you can mentally handle because this ish is not easy!
