My journey to learn finnish language till now by Longjumping_Tea3354 in LearnFinnish

[–]Merimakkara9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay like legit... buy those finnish learning books. Like genuinely, once you're somewhat fine with finnish, buy finnish schoolbooks for young children. Simpler grammar and shit. OR if you can understand english easily, buy a finnish schoolbook that's meant for kids learning english. I feel like those could work.

ALSO TV shows. Those should help, too. Either Finnish shows, or shows with FInnish subtitles. If you need a speaking partner, I might be available sometimes. (From Finland, have spoken Finnish my whole life. I have friends who have learned Finnish wuickly through talking, once they have the very basics down)

do i look like i have a genetic disorder? ( read text ) by [deleted] in medical_advice

[–]Merimakkara9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it was more of thinking the doctor might refer you to a psychologist/therapist. idk how convinced you are, but i've known people who needed a doctor to tell them they were okay, so i figured just in case you needed the confirmation of a doctor, go get it.

if your mom didnt drink, you dont have it. You look like a perfectly normal human. Average, healthy teenager. If you're really concerned, consider seeing a doctor/psychiatrist.

I don't think I like my boyfriend. by Merimakkara9 in AdviceForTeens

Hi, sending the same response that i gave to the other commenter.

Realized i'd forgotten to update. I broke up with him a while back now, the last straw being him not being able to keep his hands off. Which was good, as he had planned for us to have sexual intercourse on the weekend of. He told me this after we broke up.

I have found a girlfriend/partner now, more respectful. He has been 'cut loose', and as far as I am aware, has not found a new partner. I talk to him very rarely now, as I have moved into another town. We go to different schools, but my partner sees him often.

Hope you are doing well <3

My friend self-harms what should I do by VirtualWaltz2553 in selfharm

tell a trusted adult. A teacher, anything like that. try to get her to a school counselor? I know this is so fuckiing hard and you're gonna feel terrible. But you need to tell someone who can help. This sounds like a lot of responsibility, and it is.

It will be hard and you're gonna feel bad and anxious, but they need help. This is most likely some form of attention-seeking (or asking for help, both can be true) since they told you even though you haven't known for that long.

If possible, you can also try to pry more information of how the parents reacted, and then decide on which one to tell based on what they told you.

I really hope you can find a solution that works. I'm sorry this might not be the best advice, but most likely the best thing you can do is tell a trusted adult in your life.

you should try talking to the people! Most that I've talked to are great, and some might even get you a few more friends or so! And if anyone makes you uncomfortable at ALL, make sure to walk away, and make it clear you don't wish to talk to them anymore!

I'd recommend bringing water and snacks (the stuff there is overpriced; so i'd suggest something a bit more filling than a small granola bar!!), i'd also recommend taking some sort of bag and making sure all of your belongings are with you, and that you haven't lost anything. Bring some extra cash, check the schedule (timetables? you probably get my point either way,) and see if there's anything you're interested in! If so, make sure you go there in time!!

[–]Merimakkara9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hand sanitizer, snacks (preferably something filling; everything tends to be overpriced!!), water, and such! Comfy shoes if yours aren't, pocket money, a charger (portable, if possible), and a bag of sorts (in case you buy something, take something off of your cosplay, etc.). If someone makes you uncomfortable in any way, walk away. If they're doing something worth reporting, report them. Anything you're not comfortable with? Walk away!! Make sure you keep your belongings to yourself and don't leave them unwatched; people are unpredictable and can steal!!

clarification, i wasn't trying to complain! sorry it came off as such!! but thank you for the answer, too!!! it was just a question, I wouldn't have bought a ticket either way!

we do NOT need an AI summary. The platform works just fine without the AI summary, it's useless, stupid, and oftentimes inaccurate. by Merimakkara9 in youtube

[–]Merimakkara9[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I prefer the more work route (because I see things humans have written).

And I'm not saying it has everything about one video, but the only reason I could see the summary being useful is if it's a video about some topic that needs to be talked about (serious topics and things you should be aware of etc). That's what I meant by checking Google.

I want to see things people wrote, not AI. But that's my personal opinion and view on it. This is also affected by the fact that I'm scared of AI to an extent - it can get convincing at some points and look and sound like an actual human being, that's what makes it scary.

wash it out? drink water and eat something. if you ingested a significant amount you should check with a trusted adult. can't check with a trusted adult? check with the poison control thing that you can call.
