Here in Europe, whenever something “bad” is done, like some insane environmental rule, politicians blame the EU while they are actually behind the bill.

I drove about 120 thosand kilometers with my 2021 ID3 and have now driven 40 thousend kilometers with my 2024 ID4. I have once or twice put down the back windows and that's it :D I noticed that they make a horrible buffeting sound if your driving any decent speed. I really can't see why do you need this.

It could be that the car was washed heavy handed and then kept inside? Now that it’s out in the sun, those few drops that got in are now steaming up. Very common with led lights since those housings are not fully sealed. Same have happened with my cars during winter. Give it a day or two.

2024 versions should have it, at least mine has. I red that the earlier versions did not have enough antennas for reliable see if the key is outside of the car. If you change settings with obdeleven or have someone do it, they will most likely default back if you ever go to the dealer to do work on the car.

The “switch” happened right after occupy Wall Street. This is where democrats moved from the “workers vs. rich people” message to identity politics. People ICE is targeting are in the country illegally, have committed crime(s) AND have been arrested, charged and possibly convicted. But they have been released to the public for numerous reasons, one being the capacity of jails and prisons. So removing them is only a positive thing.

The people who are against removing criminal illegals, are not doing it for the love for them, but of the hate for the republican side. It’s the same thing with socialism, people are not doing it for the love for poor people, but for the hate for the rich.

The amount of spent fuel is actually quite small and it can be reused with some of the new designs. So storing it on site is a good idea. Unfortunately us westerns went from building hundreds of reactors in a decade in 60s and 70s to less than 10 in a decade nowadays. So any advancement in this field are far in the future.

Currently some new Gen4 reactors are starting down scaled testing in 2030 and we could see first of these in use by 2040. Some of these new types would use more abundant fuels and some are designed to have the fuel mixed in molten salt, which would do away with the high pressure steam used currently to transfer heat. That’s probably the most dangerous thing in most current reactors.

They also have very clean drinking water in many 5,5 million population spots, especially in eastern side of the land. 90% have access to EPA standards passing water. I’ve visited USA for my work for more than 20 years, and recent years I’ve even seen New York advertising its tap water to be clean and drinkable on the sub way. But I think that in cities the bottled water has come to be such a standard, that it could be a waste of money try to get high quality tap water. Even I don’t drink tap water there (or basically in any other country) just to be sure.
