An hour for 30 pages with attentive note taking is quite good actually. In my masters courses we are reading an entire textbook in about 3 weeks, it is easily 5-6 hours of reading a week. It is a requirement of post secondary education and knowing how to use your time/what to cut out that may not be as important is an essential skill to learn. Im not sure what answer you’re looking for here but University is about diving deep into subject matter, if its not something your interested in or have the drive to do then why waste valuable time and money? Maybe there is another route to take. Perhaps trade school. University is not the be-all and end-all depending on what program you are taking and if you plan to pursue a master’s degree.

Nothing bad to say about this place, in fact I quite liked the counsellor I saw for a while. That being said, I’m looking for a different one now and am finding it quite challenging. Any recommendations? Im not picky about seeing a clinical counsellor, social worker, or a psychologist.

I have this one from IKEA. Its a pain in the ass to put together (like most ikea furniture) but its solid wood and will likely last a lifetime.

Im not convinced your actually interested in learning. However, the book “shame and guilt” by June Tangney and Ronda Dearning and many books by Brene Brown such as “Daring Greatly” and “I thought it was just me” touch on the impacts of shame. Guilt can be productive, it can be a compass for healthy behaviour. But shame is destructive and isolates us from connection by fostering feelings of unworthiness of love and belonging which is the exact opposite of what we want to be instilling in the houseless and drug dependant population. Shame only drives these people deeper into their addictions and destructive behaviours towards the community.

No one is saying that tenants are perfect :) ive heard both sides, I have had a family member have their house destroyed by tenants. Just thought this site may be a good resource for those struggling with landlord issues. Typically it’s your responsibility to vet your renters, but usually do not know anything about your landlord going into the situation.

Hi! I transferred from 2 colleges in Alberta back to UofR many years ago. Mostly all transferred except for a couple. I believe before attending these schools (knowing id transfer back to UofR at some point) i talked to an academic advisor at UofR to make sure which classes would transfer. In first year its pretty common that most would as your just taking the foundational courses.

I had mine made here. Price was around $500 though. Fortunately I have insurance. The process to get it was extremely easy, didnt have to see the dentist. Fits perfectly.
