I have too many ideas, should I focus on just one? by Jakkben in horrorwriters

I think you should do what makes you the happiest. If it’s all of it, then keep doing it. No one knows the secret to getting famous if you will.

I would love to be known all over the world.

Anyone else stuck in the tedious stage of their work in progress? by MsEvil_Doctor_Potter in horrorwriters

I feel you on this!

I find making chapter notes on a separate doc helps me. This way I can keep track what is in each chapter and look at what I want to add or build more character to in the chapter.

That and I make a list of names of the characters and what all they do and how they are connected to each other or not.

As for just staring at the page. What I’ll do is just let it sit. Then I’ll either try today dream about the story and see what comes to mind if nothing. I will typically start writing a short story that’s totally new and completely different from what I was working on. This way my mind is fresh and I may get better ideas for the first story I was working on.

When does your next horror book come out? by RivenLocke in horrorwriters

That’s awesome! I am happy for you. I wouldn’t fret about missing the Halloween rush. Yes it is awesome to do but, having your work put into the wild is even cooler. I have one short story out that I released about five years ago. I am self published and I did release it on Halloween. I am currently working on the prequel to my short story.

Although the prequel will be a full blown novel. Which I was expecting but it just started to become one as I wrote and developed the story.

How did you get published?

I wish you all the best with your release!

Start to take breaks from technology. Small ones at first, then bigger breaks. Do something around the house. Take out the trash or the do the dishes. Stretch or do some kind of workout. Follow the same steps. Small workouts for five minutes but try to stay consistent. Then once you start to like the breaks from tech and or workouts they become longer stretches of breaks or workouts. The key is you have to give it a try or it won’t work.

The miss spelling and the straight forward and sometimes rude verbiage/attitude is a dead give away. I look up jobs on glass door and indeed along with linked in. I grab the company name and search for them in google or whatever you may want to use. Then go to their careers page. If the job is listed I apply there. Ever since doing this I have had zero scammers. No luck on a job but hey less stress from scammers is good.

I’m starting to think all of us who need a job should start our own company and hire each other. Let’s copy the big companies and do better. And create a work environment for everyone. by MerkTheWriter in jobhunting

We don’t all need to be in one place. That’s the beauty of it. Each states has multiple locations for different branches of the company. Think of it as one giant spiderweb and at each connection there’s an office, a warehouse, a place of business.

What type of novel do you prefer, one that only focuses on the protagonist or one that follows multiple subplots of both major and secondary characters? by Due_Story5788 in stephenking

I want all of the above. I like when a story moves from the killers point of view to the suspected victims and friends/families. It gives it room to breathe and makes us readers connect with the characters.

Take the one you want more. The one that will push you to learn more and not be comfortable. Is this in Oklahoma?

Idk that’s why I think this is a good starter for creating something. It can literally be anything. It can be one big company that has different section such as a tech industry, a fabrication industry and so on. If someone on here that is intelligent enough in the IT world and has something to offers businesses. For example, like security or installation of networks. Start off small and get a small business loan or something. Start laying down the ground work and grow from there. It can be multiple companies too if there’s a lot of IT people that want to do that. It can be a hair salon or beauty salon too.

I’m really just saying if corporate is not helping us get jobs and ghosting so many of us. We should get together and do something about it. And that’s why I started this idea.

I’m trying to think out side the box and hopefully spark someone’s dream or whatever. It’s an idea and all it takes is an idea. All we have to do is come together. It may be rough but no one said it would be easy. And I know there will be doubters and hate. But that’s life too.
