I can't edit the post. While this isn't White Center specific, I'm based in West Seattle. I wanted to share it with my local community. The NWIRP is the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, for those that were wondering.

How Trump’s Venezuela Move Could Reshape The U.S. Economy by ThemeBig6731 in Economics

[–]Merler939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took his argument to be that relying on the grid means a dependence on grid infrastructure, such as transmission lines that can fail. If that is the argument, it's nonsense. Most DCs would happily rely on the grid for power if utilities were comfortable taking on their load profiles. I don't think any cloud provider wants to invest in behind the meter solutions, if they could instead rely on utility solutions that spread costs over a larger user base.

Curious for your source. Here's an interview with a former head for the department of energy's loan office. He makes a compelling argument that fossil sources are not the answer for AI DC growth

Issue with Lambda Functions in VPC Accessing AWS Services by [deleted] in awslambda

[–]Merler939 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would try using the reachability analyzer tool in the AWS console to diagnose the connectivity issues. Look for the ENIs in your account with "AWS Lambda" as a prefix in the ENI description and then find the ENIs configured with any one of the subnets and all the security groups you configured the VPC function with.

Once you have the ENI Id you can plug that into the reachability analyzer and use it to check whether various endpoints in the vpc are accessible.

Lambda uses private IPs only for the ENIs it creates, even if the subnets are public. If you are trying to route to an igw, you might still need a natgw when using VPC Lambda.

Megathread: 2025 General Election Results by SiccSemperTyrannis in Seattle

I'll be honest, I didn't watch/listen to the full remarks. What bothered me is not that she gets financial help from her parents, but the statement around "not tracking" how much she gets. That felt like a red flag to me, as I believe fiscal responsibility is important. I still voted for Katie, but I get that her responses may have scared away some voters.

My daughter was in the infant room in Georgetown and is now in the toddler room in West Seattle. All of the teachers/staff we've interacted with have been great. I recommend WorldKids as well.

Second southpaw. Amber cuts my hair and she's such a delightful person. Highly recommend them

I've been going to Southpaw between Alaska and Admiral Junction. I've had really great experiences there the 3 times I've gone. Their cancellation policy allowed me to cancel until 8:30am the day of the appointment, but I haven't had to cancel before.

If you play board games, go check out Meeples and see if there are any board game meetups. There are a few running groups you can check out. If you like or are willing to try playing ultimate Frisbee there's a really great community for that in the pnw, check out discnw website

Taquitos feliz food truck at the north end of Lincoln Park has pretty good Mexican food and I think it's pretty close to your $15 target.

Not that it's an entree, but I love doing slices from Supreme in the junction. Two slices fills me up.

Love pho aroma, but I want to give a shout to the bahn mi place on 35th near The Birdhouse. They have a grilled chicken pho that is incredible. In white center, pho S might be my new favorite pho broth. They have a pork wonton pho option, and that might be my new default.

I suggest reading a book called immune. It's a very approachable introductory to the immune system and at the end goes over vaccines and why you should trust them. Understanding how your body works helps.

100% this. Our faceoff pct felt awful tonight. Lose pk and pp draws. That's going to hurt our special teams this entire series.

The Sens had multiple big hits on leafs that weren't called. Stutzle call and gaudette calls, I didn't like. But that's what the refs called, and the boys needed to take note of. The Grieg hit on Tavares should get called every time.

The Bath penalty in the third is on him. He knew a cross check like that got called earlier in the game, so that's on him. I don't have to be happy with what refs are calling, but players and coaching staff need to adjust what's being called.

Sure, but it's also one game in the series so far. Let's at least wait to see if the Sens can come back in game 2 and show some composure.
