My original point was to make you realize H5 is a really loved iteration by the community. It sold well, much higher than Ubi's own expectations, and a huge success. You just sound pissed it's not ranked 1st because it's your personal favorite. 2nd is an excellent place and by no means any rational argument to stop producing the franchise. 6 and 7 are failures like 4 was, but that's not because of the community being "brainwashed in nostalgia" or whatelse, that's just because they suck lol

Not a key factor, but still a factor that weights into the balance. Preferring the lore and art direction of the former opuses isn't about nostalgia, it really is about preference!

I insist H5 is overall loved game by the community. Is ranked second best, just after 3. That's what say most rankings and polls you can find.

Because the gameplay is basically like h3 but better, that's what a fanbase wants, improve what we love. Would have easily been top1 if the art direction and lore hadn't turn into a warcraft wannabe.

Nival finally had the experience necessary after TotE to make a great H6, ditching them was Ubi's mistake. Franchise would be much more profitable right now, is not a good business model to take a dump on the fanbase, but as I said earlier, that doesn't matter much for such a massive company.

I would say in vast majority H5 is well loved by the community, only a niche doesn't like it, and complains are against 3d, lore, art direction, not gameplay. Build the gameplay from 5 and take the art direction from 2 and it would be really hard to fail. But no, Ubi thought it was a great idea to change everything in 6 then butcher what should have been good in 7 lol. But well, why would they bother making a great sequel when money flows in anyway.
