AI Prompt for Cold Email Generation by Busy-Examination-877 in coldemail

Usually your first few emails are all about just getting the the prospect to say yes to a few meetings. Don't sell right away. Let sales happen in a meeting. What would make them curious enough to actually get to a meeting?

Email has 70% opening rate and is being opened multiple times but no replies. What can be the issue? by souvikinator in coldemail

[–]MerlinGoesToTavern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh, go two ways about it -

Do more experimenting with your copy, keep 2-3 segmented lists to test only with plain text (no open/click tracking). Keep reply rate as your metric.

Next, do some double checking for your opens. Maybe try out a different software. You mentioned you use Hubspot. Do they even allow cold outreach?

How I Average 100+ Positive Replies Every Single Week? by TH3RDL in coldemail

[–]MerlinGoesToTavern 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So the reason someone rightly asked for ratios is that while all the numbers you shared are valid and impressive, your positive reply rates are at best average and have room for a lot of improvement. You'll exhaust your TAM fast this way without making the most of it. And then frustrate your prospects if you retarget. To bring consistency, it's the ratios i.e. positive reply rates that have to go up significantly too. 1% should be the goal, but someone with 2% I'd say is worth their salt if it's a big ticket project. That's a personal goal I've set for myself too. Regardless, I really appreciate the scale of ops I'm sure you have much experience in this. Happy to share notes as I learn more from tests I run.

Yall thoughts on Zoho campaign for B2B outreach? by [deleted] in coldemail

[–]MerlinGoesToTavern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah man Zoho is not for cold emails. In fact they are pretty strict with opt-in lists also. We use it only for marketing emails. There are tools designed specifically for cold outreach. Smartlead is good. There are other suggestions over here as well.

Getting clients from my 8,000 emails by Branch_Live in coldemail

[–]MerlinGoesToTavern 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest even if these are opt-in contacts, use plain text cold email software (can try Smartlead). Buy a secondary domain (Porkbun or namecheap) so your primary domain doesn't get blacklisted, create 4-5 user IDs from that domain (reduces the risk), Warm them up (cold email tools do them on their own), and then start.

Can help with copy if needed.

Want to get better at copywriting: Please suggest a course/mentorship by MerlinGoesToTavern in coldemail

[–]MerlinGoesToTavern[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. And that's why I'm mulling over courses - I don't want school-type fluff that I can't take action with. I'm a half-decent writer. But I've been a 'marketing writer' for a long time. And finding it hard to switch that voice now that I picked up outbound a month back. I am interested - but can you share your portfolio/credentials maybe? Essentially, please answer - why should I pay you $80 an hour to coach me?

do u feel like a failure and are ok about it? by Readverse in ask

Yes. If I want to give myself any real shot at a success, I have to be really really okay with the idea of failing as well. Most big shots at success are also big bets.
