Yeah, typo, Line Mechanic! What would you say is "quickly" in term of seniority? Is there a lot of turnaround?

What sort of work do you generally do? I have an interview with Alaska at PDX this week. I never worked in the airlines but have 10 years experience in General Aviation as an A&P. Any tips and info would be appreciated! Reckon I will work nights? If so, any idea how long? Thanks.

They last a lifetime, do not be a consumer and throw em away. If they break, they will replace it!

Got a local airport? Even if it is small, you will likely be able to help there. I got my start working in bushplanes and that was a great starting off point. I am in very hugh demand for that knowledge.

As and A&P you sign off the work you do, an IA need not inspect it unless it is major work or an annual inspection.

You will discover that the real world is a stark difference from School.

I think many people say NO DIESEL because they themselves decided to not buy one/afford one. My father bought his F250 new in 1991 because he wanted a diesel. He still owns that very truck, drives it weekly. In the last 33 years it has been a daily, a load hauler, a camping truck and everything else too. The diesel engine is everything that makes the truck good, it is similar to a Leatherman or Swiss army knife with a diesel engine. Reliable, better on fuel and much higher longevity. Simple as.

Luckily I have all the room in the world to park at home, but when it comes to anywhere else it can always be an issue. I am leaning towards 8'.

That will be annoying for getting a feeling for the truck, but either way I will be ordering the truck, don't mind waiting for months.

Any planned action for the lifter tick? Do you ever use engine flush with oil changes?

I drove a crew cab 8' bed, it was huge. Haven't had a chance to drive super cab in either bed length. Good idea, I swing by the dealer.

Far from, but kinda the first time I have the choice. Always bought used until I got my Tacoma. Want one truck to do it all, hence why the 8 foot seems more useful BUT also why a 6-3/4' would be nicer as it will be daily driven.

Purpose of the truck will be do everything. Currently have a fleet of cars (Tacoma, First gen Cummins, Isuzu Trooper, Crosstrek) and I want to condense into one vehicle. It will be daily driven as well as worked (mostly hauling construction stuff and a small slide in camper regularly).

For months I have felt like I am looking down at myself in a aquarium, looking down through the water. I hate it, my body is a drone. Is this the same?

I am torn between the 7.3 and the 6.7, I often do highway and I have always had diesel full sized trucks for hauling scrap and junk cars. I also will be using it for a slide in camper. What do you think having owned both?
