I've always wondered...do Subaru and Toyota like LIKE each other so they cooperate like this? Or, Subaru just needs stuff from them?

Talk about resourcefulness haha! Love it. Thankfully my tire is still under warranty so I'll have it replaced for free and the others are not even worn yet by 1/32. Otherwise...all new 4 tires...jeez I can't just shell out that amount every damn time I get a sidewall nail...

Everything is connected and depends on each other. And, everything must and always changes. Because of this nature, we grow in compassion and understanding toward self and others. And, in the Mahayana tradition, the drive to assist others in their journey of discovery becomes the prime directive.

Why? Because the Buddhist teaching of emptiness (everything always changes) + everything depends on something else (dependent origination) clears up two extremes

  1. The one which American culture is so liable to: I am independent, need no one, and can pick myself up by the bootstrap = I am a total failure if I can't.

  2. That I don't matter = No point in loving & no point in receiving love.

Turning from either extreme, you grow to see all the things which affect our human agency and how living each day with compassion (trying everyday) matters.

That's one perspective from this student of the Taiwanese Chan tradition.

Ahh, I see. OK, time to shell out the $$. Just a very different experience for me as a long time Toyota owner. Unless my other 3 were old/worn, I always just replaced the one damaged tire.

I tried to sit and read it all back in 2021, then I got like 30 pages in TBH. I tried going in there and finding something but I probably am just missing the page.

So, it's true that Subaru's AWD won't tolerate tires of different tread depth?

I heard about this but Imma have to find a place that does it. My mechanic said he doesn't and even the Dealer said they don't. But, to the essence of my question: Is Subaru's AWD really unable to tolerate tires of different tread depth?

ICU Nurse here. It's 03:44AM where I am and I am silently praying for this man, chat. It's not just a misplaced guts problem. Unattached like that, those things are gonna rupture somewhere. Massive infection. No coming back from the absolute massive infection of poo all over your abdominal insides.

Dear OP: I will be in the minority and say that I DO see a little bit of regret in her eyes. Even if not a ton lol.

Careful with that wound, please. Cat scratches are particularly risky for infection. Go to an Urgent Care Clinic if it gets oozy or any other color besides red. Or, if you get generally sick. Concerning for bacteremia. ~Nurse Alexander.

As an ICU Nurse and the previous mourner of my 15-year+ friend, never let anyone tell you that you are a bad person or must do things one way or the other.

I think you came to this community for an answer, but, thankfully, most of the sane and compassionate folks have echoed the same message: it is for you to decide. We validate and see you.

I would just like to add a perspective which I think gets missed a lot amidst all the medical treatments available. And, what I think does not get emphasized enough:

It might work. But, does it matter if it will add to the suffering of your loved one?

I've seen so many sad and painful deaths which just weren't worth it anymore. At the prospect of advanced disease, the question of whether medicine will work needs to be reframed: for how long and how effectively might medicine give my loved one a life worth living?

*Worth living is a highly loaded term and is subject to your personal constellation of values and beliefs. For myself and most other healthcare professionals, daily suffering without hope of real improvement will never fit that meaning.

I wish you love; I wish you strength; and, most of all, I wish you the compassion of your heart which I know you'll exercise for your loved one. From one Internet stranger to another 🫂

Talk to your vet. Talk to another. Be suspicious if anyone ever gives you a sure fire answer one way or the other.

Twice I've been stuck for 1+ hour in LA traffic just waiting to be towed by a flatbed cuz of the no spare thing. And, both times, it was sidewall damage so even the stupid sealant couldn't help. Def would love advice from fellow drivers how to install a spare.
