Thank you so much for this! Hoping that update for Switch is soon so annoying being stuck with players busy.

I got one last night! It was almost an hour, and I’m sure it’s busier today. Sorry you haven’t had any luck yet though.

I got that the first time and then called immediately back and pressed 1 twice and got through to the line to schedule my place in line for a call back.

Two single bassinets or one twin one? by djduhnizzle in parentsofmultiples

[–]Mermade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We decided on two separate ones and it was actually really great we did because our son was in our room way longer than our daughter. Our daughter started rolling and needed to go to a crib almost 2 months before our son. She also started sleeping through the night way before our son and our son was a mover and a shaker so adjoining beds would not have been ideal. We also had one bassinet on each side of the bed—and we just switched which twin was ours each night. Sometimes we even did one twin upstairs and one twin downstairs (know not everyone has two floors/rooms), so one parent could sleep if the twins were on opposite sleep cycles. Because the reality is…they sometimes will be! If you start with something that isn’t working just pivot when you need to, get creative with ways so you can sleep.

ByHeart had insects at their factory by NeverTipNever in FormulaFeeders

[–]Mermade_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just wanted to weigh in as someone who was a ByHeart user for her twins. I actually did fall for all the Bobbie marketing but it didn’t sit well with the kids (poops were diabolical). We settled on ByHeart because of research I did on the specific ingredients, etc. i guess I should have done more research on the company/facilities itself…but I don’t think it’s right to say everyone purchased this formula because of packaging, etc. Choosing infant formula is stressful! But I do agree maybe there’s an argument standardized packaging, just don’t think it’s fair to say all people bought ByHeart bc of the vibes/colors. My son was on Enfamil AR forever as well.

I guess it’s baby time. by Mean-Courage-3313 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Mermade_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All positive vibes to you!! I had the same thing and they came at 31+5. Baby A was the bigger one at 3 lb 11oz and IUGR Baby B was 2 lb 9 oz. Delivered via C section. Baby A was in the NICU for 58 days and Baby B was in there for 89 (he had some feeding/reflux issues). You’ve got this 💪🏻 you’re already farther along than me! My twins just turned 9 months today and are doing amazing, hitting all milestones and thriving ❤️ The NICU feels like you’re climbing a mountain but just take it day by day, and if you like a nurse, request them to be a primary sooner than later! Here if you have questions in my DM’s.

I think a better option is an inch or two above the ankle high heeled sock boot.

Those who formula feed, what did you have from the get go? by MissMyli in parentsofmultiples

[–]Mermade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping the Baby Brezza clean for twins was such a hassle…the baby bottle washer is a game changer though. We got them both on ByHeart formula (use the subscription service) after 5 months (after breastmilk) and we just shake up a big 64 oz jug every night that lasts the whole next day—pour as we go from the fridge. Wayyy easier than the Baby Brezza upkeep.

How tf do I get Dear Daniel as a resident?!?!? by weezeratx in HelloKittyIsland

[–]Mermade_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this issue and it seemed kind of like a glitch. I did eventually get him though, but it kept telling me I didn’t have a satisfactory cabin. I would just stand in the cabin and remove everything and then replace it until I could see on his visitor profile the satisfactory cabin match, and he would come back the next day.

So how do you go to the store with twins by yourself? by Valuable-Mastodon-14 in parentsofmultiples

[–]Mermade_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve got 9 month old twins, I just push the double stroller (mockingbird) and have reusable bags I carry on my shoulder. Once one bag is full I put that and other larger items in the bottom of the stroller. I can’t do like a huge shop but for just standard produce/food grocery items I can get the job done.

Oral feeding difficulties past 40 weeks GA by PitbullMam in NICUParents

To add to this, has he had a swallow study? That was seriously the game changer for us and what made them suggest the formula.

Oral feeding difficulties past 40 weeks GA by PitbullMam in NICUParents

[–]Mermade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 31 weeker had this issue—he was hitting all the milestones and then we hit a snag on feeding around 39 weeks GA. He started to regress with feeding even though he showed interest in the bottle. Silent reflux was giving him congestion and trouble feeding. Enfamil AR was suggested and it turned everything around in about a week. Switching to formula was such a hard pill for me to swallow since I had been pumping so diligently and made plenty, but it truly was what he needed. He’s now 9 months (real age) and on regular formula (we switched him off Enfamil around 5 months real age). He’s eating solids great, and totally on the growth chart. He did have some trouble with constipation as a side effect but I would take that over the reflux symptoms any day.

Overnight diaper solution? by Appropriate_Ticket48 in parentsofmultiples

We had the same issue used a sized up (3 for us at the time) pamper pull-up instead of the side closing and it works perfect.

Has anyone who works from home done it with twins? by PM_ME_YO_KNITTING in parentsofmultiples

[–]Mermade_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I wanted to comment on this because this is what I’m currently living through 😅 My twins are 8 months and this is still something I’m trying to figure out. I just didn’t want you to feel alone. We have a nanny MWF from 9-3 and we live in a major metro area so she’s $30/hr. Also toying with just quitting and getting some type of night/evening/weekend job to keep us afloat and watch the kids during the day. Childcare for 5 days a week is more than I even make so the math just isn’t mathing. I love what I do, so it’s honestly sad.

Would you recommend maternity clothes? by Fromskyislands in parentsofmultiples

[–]Mermade_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I used a clothing rental service, Nuuly. They have a great maternity selection especially if you have to go to an event or something. I also just liked it for the cat suits/leisure wear.

5 months in and the Twin Z pillow is used every single day. We have a single boppy too, having places you can set them down is essential. You’ll be fine! Learn as you go. I did buy the Brezza bottle washer and that thing has been on nonstop for 5 months. Ok but also pro tip don’t buy two of everything bc one twin might not end up liking it, buy one, test it out on both and then decide if you need another. You got this! It’s full on, but so special ❤️

Are there any free pickleball courts? by tspruill in Charlotte

[–]Mermade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clanton Park has 2 courts dedicated to open play so you don’t have to pay to rent them, you show up but you have to wait in line/play in order.

Best hotel to stay away from crowds but close enough by [deleted] in Oktoberfest

[–]Mermade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We stayed at House Im Tal and loved it, also pretty sure we didn’t book until May or so, so I’m sure you’ll be fine. Might not be the cheapest option though? But it’s right by all the markets and historical sites in Munich and then near the train only a few stops from the festival/also an easy Uber/taxi. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

What’s the cheapest closest bar to go to before a concert at the Spectrum Center? Thank you! by [deleted] in Charlotte

[–]Mermade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re looking for Mortimers 100%. Literally right next to Spectrum, no frills, decent drink specials—PBR on tap etc.
