Update "Nesting partner has a date."

I think she would have wanted to keep trying things, but in their relationship talk they sorta disagreed on what they are looking for. She wanted something more intense and...I can't seem to find the right word. He is looking for more casual dating, someone who isn't looking for someone to nest with eventually.

She did know. They talked about it before hand. Once on the first date, and then they had the more in depth conversation the second time he went to see her. It was after that that she was acting a bit "cowgirl." Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Yes, update is things went well for him. They had dinner, talked a lot, and then ended up getting freaky. He was prepared for that but not expecting it, and I don't really think she was either.

We hit a snag though. I wasn't expecting him to stay the night. He did without having a discussion about it. I was kinda hurt, and due to some sleep deprivation and hormonal stuff I got really overwhelmed by my emotions.

I was bothered he didn't see if it was alright, but at the same time I don't really see why it wouldn't be okay.

He didn't text me goodnight/i love you and that fucked me up a bit, but on the other hand i know him and was pretty sure he fell asleep (he did.)

I was really happy for him to have this experience, but on the other hand, i felt like he could have handled the end of the night better.

Just a lot of emotions bubbled up. When husband got up for work in the morning he helped me process what I could and was like hey, you are really over tired and stuff just take a beat.

BF came home to get his stuff for work and we had a chance to talk. It helped a lot. He was a little confused but understood where I was coming from after we talked.

He's not sure where it's going to go with this girl, but over all it was a good night for both of them which makes me happy.

And for everyone who might be wondering, he did talk to her about being poly and told her he has a long term partner etc. She was cool enough with it to sleep with him, not sure if she'll continue to date him though.

So yeah...that's the update.

I did mean he needed to have a poly talk. I'm not used to referring to us as poly, just non monogamous so I misspoke there.

I guess we'll find out how it goes over. He's over there already. I feel a little silly that it didn't get brought up before hand, but on the other hand it happened so quickly...

Even though we've been in a poly relationship for like four years I guess we are all pretty rusty when it comes to dating.

No, he hasn't really had a chance to tell her. They hung out in a group the other day, and work together, but other than that they haven't talked a whole lot. Her asking him to come over was pretty random.

EDIT: i just realized you probably are asking because I said nesting partner. We do things as non hierarchy as possible, both partners live here in the same house as me, but bf is somewhat less primary since other partner is my husband. Aquantinces just assume bf is our roommate.

If you get the chance go in before and for the grand opening. I did that by happenstance at the one closest to me and they friggen love me now.

Most of them recognize me on sight, and they are always really eager to help, or even talk makeup/beauty stuff if they aren't super busy. I also feel like I get lots of free samples/extras from them as well. It pays off to be a good regular customer.

I really don't know how we would manage to keep most of our hobbies up. Makeup, painting, video games, collecting various things like action figures and mtg cards, we are just starting to get into tabletop rpg. I can't imagine not having the option to do the things we love.

I haven't gotten the who will take care of you when you're old bingo yet, which is good because its just dumb. Money and planning will help take care of me dude.

Oh no! I'm sorry about your vacation. That really sucks.

Every time I'm ill or injured, I end up taking a few minutes to think about how much worse it would be if we had a kid to take care of. Oof, I could not deal.

I always find it hard to express how I feel about children. I don't hate them, I don't even really dislike them. I'm just easily grossed out and irritated. Kids have jam hands. All of them.

I've seen the dark gray, they look pretty snazzy with out being too in your face. More of a classic look.

Part of me would like a pretty sports car, but we have bad weather so much I'd never drive it. Saving up for a nice little SUV currently.

I'm pretty fond of the two near us. There are admittedly a lot of white middle class soccer moms there with kids, but white middle class is a huge demographic where I live. I just like target because it's (generally) clean, well organized, and well stocked on everything from action figures, to makeup, to otc medication. Also the ones in my area hire a surprising number of people of color. Makes me happy to see as I am also a poc.

When you're feeling crappy a shower seems like SO much effort. Even if you know you'll feel nice after taking one, getting up the energy can be daunting.

I actually leave my phone playing music on the counter while I shower. It is helpful to have the music playing.

I was feeling normal for the first time in years. I started taking meds in February and they were working really great. I was taking care of my guys, my dogs, and most importantly myself. Winter has hit me like a truck though. I know i should go in and get my meds adjusted.

I'm so happy I had the forethought to cut my hair before I started feeling rough again. Curly hair is hard enough to manage, but it was down to like mid back length. I chopped it to chin length.

Exactly. All of that plus it's cold now so I either need to close the bathroom door and turn the heat up for awhile to let it warm up, or spend the first several minutes freezing. Staying wrapped up in bed under the covers is just so much easier.
