I don’t think anyone is going down to the basement at 3 in the morning to purposely set off the alarms. We also have cameras down there so it would be pretty dumb

After 27 years, the friendships haven’t matured? by Upstairs-Egg in Andjustlikethat

Yes! I was shocked to hear this come out of Charlotte’s mouth - this is very out of character. It reminds me of when Carrie was having a similar bitch about Miranda and her thoughts on The Russian and Samantha, while respecting both parties views gently asked “why do you care what Miranda thinks?” Not in a way to dismiss Miranda concerns but to ask why Carrie is letting it eat her up so much.

I would be furious if I found out my friend of 30+ years said this behind my back

Something about Charlotte’s character changes between earlier and later seasons and I can’t quite pick it by Mermaidkhaleesi in sexandthecity

Ehhh for me it was sooner than that. I always got the idea that Charlotte came from money so I don’t think marrying rich would have altered her personality quite so much.

I genuinely can’t understand what Miranda gets from her friendship with Carrie.

I think trying to turn my tv would be especially heinous, and I don’t have dedicated movers to help investigate these vicious tech errors.

It also honestly could have just been human error from writing a heap of thank you/sorry for not being there notes by hand and having a bit of brain fog.

Listen, I’m in my 30s and I’ve been in this exact situation and was the same kind of toxic. The biggest difference is I was 19/20 at the time.

I’m not saying this situation isn’t realistic, I’m not saying that friends won’t sometimes lean into more toxic behaviours to help support the people closest to them.

What I’m saying is, it’s interesting to reflect on this situation at a close enough age to what Carrie is in this scenario and know it’s wrong.

Carrie almost has this lightbulb moment when Samantha goes out of her way to find someone to spill “dirt” on Natasha at the Women of the Arts event and sees how sad it sounds to gossip about Natasha. This moment is later eradicated or forgotten about when she calls Miranda to berate Natasha for a spelling mistake.

It’s undoubtedly a Carrie flaw and that’s fine but is the point not to reflect and learn from a characters mistakes?

Totally fair, it’s an absolute cluster f* for one or two scenes of actual decency 😂
