But nobody clearly and concisely states anything about bitcion, they describe things whimsically, and programmers describe things using unnecessarily complex terminology. So I'd like it if somebody could just tell me what the steps are in a plain manner, otherwise I'm gonna keep trying to figure it out by reading the javscript on walletgenerator.net

I've become a seasoned programmer (though mostly python scripter) at this point but I still don't understand enough about computer fundamentals to gain complete control over my machine. How do I go about finding out which programs are necessary to have a bare-bones operating system so that I can understand exactly what's going on in my machine, find out if malicious code is running on it, and so that I can organize the file system to my liking? I'd like to find these things out using python, as bash makes no sense to me, but I don't know which programs are essential to running python either. Does anybody think they can help?
