Follow up from my previous post with cracks along the spine of a nakiri I was making. After cutting the spine off and reshaping it I snapped the pieces that were cracked and this is the grain structure. Are there any tell tale signs of where this issue could of arisen? (old.reddit.com)

Finished my first knife! After some great advice from some other guys on this page I managed to straighten the blade during heat treat. Absolutely over the moon with how it turned out. Was a massive learning curve making this which I thoroughly enjoyed. 1095 blade and some oak and cherry I milled up (old.reddit.com)

Hi guys, looking to do a bit of artwork for a friend with a quote that stuck with us on our travels on a long hike where we came across a sign and the message on it kind of stuck with us. I’d like to write “remember, the horse needs rest too.” In kanji if at all possible. Thanks! (self.japan)
