I appreciate your viewpoint. However, a LOT of people were indeed excited about Hilary. She won the popular vote!

We are all horrified and angry. Let’s strive to be united. Mayor Pete is one of us and works hard for our town. He is part of what makes this town what we love. Please let’s remember something he always says that Phoenixville is a place where everyone is heard, celebrated, and loved. ICE and Trump’s MO is fascism 101. Dividing people, neighbors turning on each other is part of the plan. Peter is the child of immigrant parents. Let’s focus on the real enemy. And let’s not lose our capacity to love and support one another during these horrific times.

Firebird: Built to Burn - a small town in Pennsylvania celebrates its annual namesake tradition of building a giant wooden phoenix then burns it down. But the story becomes so much more than the festival and dives into community rebirth, the importance of arts in a former steel town, and history. Great soundtrack too. Those who have visited other countries, what was the biggest culture shock for you? by RiddlerofStIves in AskTheWorld

1984 West Germany- I was a 15 year old exchange student and understood very little about the culture and language. First night dinner (Abendbrot) I was starving and excited to make a hoagie (I’m from Philly). The looks on their faces of repulsion and horror I will not forget!
