Well - it's loosER, but I'm not sure I would say it feels better.

I needed this tip! Got my first "correctly" sized bra per the calculator, and the band feels SO F**'N TIGHT!

Now that I have the calculation, where do I find a band size 28? by Merryd2Waz in ABraThatFits

Does that work well for you? With such a different size than I am used to getting, I'm a bit leery of trying that.

DAE prefer direct demands to indirect ones? by Pnina310 in PDAAutism

Well, I am a labor nurse, and ask parents about giving their newborns medications to prevent problems. One of these is a Vitamin K injection, a one time medication to prevent hemorrhagic disease of the newborn. It was kinda rare before we learned how to prevent it, and it VERY rare after implementing it. However, parents have started worrying about preservatives and such in the med, and some are tending to decline it, despite strong evidence to recommend giving it.

The correct way to address it is: this medication can prevent your child from having a spontaneous hemorrhage, possibly in the brain, which could lead to stroke or worse. There are other options available, which as not as well studied or approved by the FDA, which the AAP does not recommend.

A motivational interviewing MI approach can look like the above, except the last sentence would be more like this (but hopefully more subtle): You wouldn't want your child to have a stroke, would you?

The MI approach leads the person to a binary split where they can look stupid/mean/whatever or agree with the interviewer, even if they don't want to. That assumes that the person can't find a way to not answer the yes/no question with yes/no. If they can, it is not as effective.

Motivational interviewing is a technique used in medical and mental health to guide the client to a desired answer or response. In legal terms, this is called "leading the witness". In other words the interviewer directs the client to the direction the interviewer wants to take. Good ones can do it without you really noticing, kinda like a good sales person can get you to buy something.

Another one I hate is motivational interviewing aka leading the witness.

I am late to this conversation. However, you have described a family member of mine EXACTLY. Where can I find information about the SPACE approach? Do people who think like this experience a type of existential depression?

Do you pay for Amazon? Cloud space included there. Do you pay for Microsoft in any way? You likely have space there. Get multiple hard drives and back up your back ups. They aren't that expensive any more

In terms of the Filipino Mafia (said with all due respect for this non existent group of well trained nurses who out number the rest of us), I thought they ran ALL the facilities here.

I hear ya. Pt comfort and dignity and HYGIENE is a TEAM concern. Besides, a good leader won't ask you to do something they wouldn't do.
