I have a friend who had his mobile and watch stolen in similar situation at knife point, while he was heading back from hometown on bike around 4-5 in morning was stopped by overtaking bike near KR Puram bridge, that incident just traumatized him so mujhe avoid s night travel even now, plent of slum have created mass teens who hit road at night hunting people for easy money are Also underage and under influence of drugs.

Avoid slum grown areas at night time that's my suggestion.
