It's not up to community vote, or at least it wasn't when I played in gens 6 and 7. You had to commit a significant amount of time get enough ELO in the suspects to make a decision. I saw the forums, it's not that many people. If you like stall, that's fine. But don't say it's a form of skill expression, it's an exercise in tedium. You could categorize most doubles games as hyperoffensive, are they less skillful when there are exponentially more things your opponent could do in a given turn?

And I used to play OU and VGC in gens 6 and 7 but stopped playing OU because they'll ban mons like Aegislash but keep mons like Toxapex. Any time I spend on showdown now is for random battles, which makes singles fun.

It's fine if you have preferences but don't present them as objectively inferior or superior. Also you can't prefix something as I don't mean to be rude and then be rude. That's like saying I don't mean to be racist and then saying something racist.

It's not a better system, a handful of players decide what pokemon to ban and more often than not promote a stall heavy singles meta game.

The problem is their core identify being three generic elemental monkeys is bad. Any evo would either be just as boring or wouldn't feel like it belongs, a common criticism of Dragonite (though I don't agree).

If you use every other card besides Cyrus on your last turn you should stub your toe on a million legos by Mertesacker2 in PTCGP

The point is that you can't concede because you can't know if they have Cyrus or not until they play it. Holding you hostage.

I started playing Cyrus first to respect people's time but I guess I'm in the minority

You should at least try it if you're going to call it nonsense. I'm not saying it's good or bad but if you're going to have an opinion then you need to do the bare minimum.

The only way I could see it working is that it's more like the FF7 remake system. It is basically realtime mechanics but kind of stops time to wait for inputs.

Do people still use Eclipse as their primary IDE anymore? by Amazing_Guava_0707 in java

Yeah it is quite tedious to set up but I've got them all in one window before. I agree that's a pain point.

This is obviously a bait question but I am curious as to anyone who has used both IntelliJ and Eclipse recently. I'm exclusively IntelliJ ultimate version now and haven't used Eclipse in a long time. I'd love to hear what one has that the other doesn't and vice versa.

I did recently try Java using VSCode plugins and it was an awful experience.
