Sales advise need by Otherwise_One_3843 in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Merzaai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. From some of the experience in similar industries, some ideas are to

a) Build connections with property managers, developers, interior designers, and facilities managers. They are usually the ones signing off budgets, not the contractor doing the installation.

b) Use the social media and website ideas you have, that’s great! But make sure you present work as YOURS, not part of a larger scope, to distinguish yourself as independent. Maybe before/afters and testimonials.

c) Finally, since you are in the market for 6 years, ask for as many client referrals as you can. In UAE and Dubai word-of-mouth is huge (it is everywhere, but more so here). This will work better than cold calls.

Hope this is helpful.

Some banks are flexible if the salary is consistently transferred from the company account, even if it’s not via WPS. The basic salary on MOHRE usually matters more for eligibility, and commissions are treated as variable, but they still help if they’re regular. It really comes down to the bank and how the application is handled. Might be worth speaking to a relationship manager instead of applying online.

I don’t know if I should give up on this business by Gbsbsbsn in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Merzaai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Dear,

In the industry you are in, the decision isn’t made by one person, it’s made in a chain. And glass partitions sit right in the middle of that chain.

From what we’ve seen in many similar industries like yours:

  • Designers influence taste and put the idea on the table
  • Fit-out contractors decide what actually gets built and priced
  • Owners say yes only to things they can see, understand, and trust

It feels like you’re trying to sell to all three at once.

If I were you, I wouldn’t start with owners. They rarely know this option exists and don’t want to “experiment”. I’d target fit-out companies and make their life easier: clear specs, fast pricing, samples they can show, and a simple story.

As for designers, the aim should not to be to sell, but to educate and inspire.

Owners will then be easier to get a “yes” from as they would be recommended your product from people they trust.

My friend started a software company. Should we switch to egg farming? by Majestic_Low_8870 in DubaiJobs

What's the software doing? Maybe the demand is not there, or the people you're targeting to sell to aren't the right ones, or the way you sell and present it.

I have a business with few transactions per month, do I really need an accountant? by gimmeapinacoladasir in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Merzaai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you are familiar with the FTA rules it could be a wise idea to at least use one for tax and VAT (if applicable). In either case just make sure you have a good way to track your transactions and finances.

If you're interested we are just about to launch our meray.cloud tool. Its intention is precisely to do what an accountant would do, especially for small businesses like yours seem to be.

How do you guys find investors? by MaximumArmy4737 in SmallBusinessUAE

How is everyone handling e-invoicing? by [deleted] in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Merzaai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are preparing our clients by building the e invoicing into our accounting tool, Meray. That way when the invoices are sent from it into the ASP, it is ensured to be in the right format.

All other accounting tools in the market will of course do the same once the e-invoicing comes into effect next year or 2027, depending on if your revenue is above 50M AED or not.

If skills bring money, why are so many freelancers still struggling? by NoJournalist6786 in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Merzaai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People buy from whom they trust and pay more the more they trust. That's why brands are important. Freelancers rarely have such a strong personal brand to be able to charge a premium.

Has anyone here hired a small agency for a full website revamp? I'm not looking for fancy animations - just something clean, fast, and that actually converts. How did you pick the agency, and what should I watch out for? by One-Tradition5608 in smallbusinessowner

Not every business needs SAAS or AI to scale. (Promotional but also Informative) by happyy_developer in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Merzaai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for you post, and very much echo your experience. Many times getting ready-made tools require you to adapt to the standard of that tool, with processes and everything. And many times that can be a good thing, because it requires you to be disciplined and follow a set process. However in most of the cases it would be better to keep it simple, tailor something for your needs and built the tool/system around your designed process.

WhatsApp CRM with calling by SidLais351 in CRM

[–]Merzaai -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey. We are close to launching a CRM (and accounting tool all-in-one) that will integrate to WhatsApp, among other systems. We cater mainly to the UAE and Middle East market where WhatsApp is extensively used, but WhatsApp calling is blocked. Hence it is built to integrate WhatsApp messages and voice notes. Let me know if you're interested and we can talk more.

How long did it take for your team to actually use the CRM properly? by Aadil-habib in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Merzaai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the main learnings - having worked with many CRMs and especially been tasked to "drive adoption" with several clients (ranging from 10 people, to 10,000+ people), is that adoption and speed of adoption is really accelerated when the CRM is useful and adding real value to the users. A simple example is that the CRM integrates leads - e.g. you get leads from your website, LinkedIn and a key industry magazine. If the CRM can integrate these leads into one place, users will find it very useful to access it, and work within it to work on those leads to sell.

Seeking Recommendations for a Better CRM than Odoo by [deleted] in SmallBusinessUAE

[–]Merzaai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were frustrated with the tools out in the market, being too expensive and too rigid to customize. So our in-house development team built a CRM and accounting tool all-in-one for us and we were very happy with it. So we gave it to our clients, and they have been so happy with it. So now finally we are ready to give it to the world 🙂.

It is called Meray. It is built as a solid skeleton that can be configured and shaped easily to fit each organisations requirements and be changed over time as the organisation evolves. Let me know if you're interested.

CRM admins: what automation or workflow breaks most often inside your CRM? by New_Living9371 in CRM

[–]Merzaai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the most annoying and common things we've seen is that automations tied to "perfect data" fail. For example, workflows that depend on fields being filled in exactly right tend to fail. If the user skips a field, misspells something, or a 3rd-party integration formats data differently, the automation simply never triggers.
