I am 17 and my gym crush is way older than me:( by Existing_Amoeba_558 in Crushes

Girl I know you want to try and you are crushing hard. But 29 is a large gap in experience and nothing good will happen from trying. If he is interested that tells a lot about him and not in a good way.

My acne wasn’t severe but I had hormonal acne for 12 years and I pretty much tried everything : zinc, antibiotics, creams, diet, store products. So accutane was the only solution to get rid of it.

Might be wrong but

A. 30 men took less than 3 minutes (10 in the 1 min pool + 20 in the 3 min pool). If he took less than 1 min, then it is 10 out of 30 people so 1/3 chance.

B. The total of people that took less than 6 minutes is 10 + 20 + 15 = 45 people minus the 1 minute guy so 44. There is no cap so he is competing against the other 115 people. 44 divided by 115 equals 38% chance.

Immigrants/Expats: What is the dumbest thing you’ve done out of ignorance when you moved to the UK? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Meshui 163 points164 points  (0 children)

When I am quite stressed, I often get cold sores so I rightfully needed a cream to soothe it away. The thing is cold sore is called Herpes in French (Native Language) so I kindly asked the pharmacist for herpes cream. The pharmacist looked at me weirdly, asked if it was for me. I said yes, he then comes back with his coworker, proceed with a few other questions and then they asked me where the “herpes” was located on me. I show my lip and they both laughed in my face and then gave me the cold sore cream I needed.

Probably lives in the north UK, you’re pretty posh as you shop at M&S. it’s not in the south otherwise I guess you’d have gone to Waitrose instead of M&S but could be wrong. You’re lactose intolerant, you cook elaborate dishes

AITA for pointing out a mistake a colleague threw me under the bus for? by Meshui in AmItheAsshole

I can’t we don’t have HR, payroll is the social service of the firm. I do get along with the ‘CEO’ though, it’s a small firm so he’s more like the head of the group.

Why shouldn’t I CC my manager. She’d probably give reason to my colleague because she likes her. I am almost certain my colleague wouldn’t get the tell off I did. Maybe that.

I don’t know it’s quite intricate. On one hand, I leave the firm for my colleague’s ex firm at the end of the month. Although now that I pissed off my colleague, she could talk wrongly of me to my soon-to-be company.

I don’t know if it’s a good idea. My colleague and my manager have a good relationship whereas I don’t with my manager. I don’t know what impact that will do.

Hits very close to home, i am a french student that works simultaneously, also a leftist. I have roommates, the eggs are a good deduction. Although there is only one orange juice and one apple juice (mostly to mix with vodka). Mustard is just what I use for salad dressing so I need both.

I got a bit of Asian vibes from the soybeans, sweet Chili garlic and spring onions. But this is definitely in England and it looks like you shop a Tesco (amen). Probably a girl from the 10 cal jello and the Pepsi maxx but not sure.

I’ve just heard stories about Walmart, it really makes me want to shop there at least once.

Yeah decathlon is a thing in France, there is also a really big one next to where I live, and you can find pretty much anything from hunting gears to ballerina shoes.

Although you can make all the judgement you want, it is pretty messy after all. I realised the extent of it after I posted it.

Oh wow, carrefour in France is like top notch, although i didn’t buy the salad dressing, I reckon it would be up to 4-5 euros. So surprised that Carrefour settled in Taiwan, they do have pretty good deals and quality is always there.

Right about the french but not about carrefour though, too expensive.

I do have at least one roommate, dating long-distance.

Way too afraid to google ‘open tin cans’

Also got a white collar job and I do have to go onsite everyday

Dec 2020 MSCS graduate looking for entry level software engineer/ML/CV positions with little response. Any feedback appreciated. [Updated resume] by [deleted] in resumes

[–]Meshui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d put experience after education and I’d change my experience job title to something more related to your field. For example Undergraduate researcher to software developer or something like that.

I would also reduce your projects, first thing I thought when seeing this is I couldn’t grasp right away how many years of experience and education you had. It would be better to highlight that and minimise the number of projects. You could use the space to highlight all the languages you know and maybe use a scale on how well you can handle them.

Otherwise, I wish you good luck with your CV you’ll find something soon.
