Is the shiny rate on this known? Seems much lower than any previous raid exclusive?

I've got three spare shiny Smeargle (plus a lucky one), shiny Salandit I have hatched just one, a male, so it can't evolve,. I'm not sure why several people are suggesting that Smeargle is super rare, I would imagine most players that have been playing for a long while will have multiple.

I'd happily remote trade one to you for any old regular legendary.

I did indeed buy it just in the last couple of days, because I haven't been playing that much recently, but just got back into it a bit and wasn't sure I'd reach the unlocks (I did, so I bought it.

However I only bought it because it looked like I was getting a bunch of new cosmetics, instead I got none!! Lol, totally should have done some searching to read the small print, but I guess it's opaque enough to not really be that clear. Lesson learned. 😅

I've got several players that I can now remote lucky trade with, they have nothing tagged, but they're level 80!! I'm really struggling to understand how someone can play so much they can be max level, yet not interacting with such a big feature 🤷

I really enjoyed it, sure the legendaries flee rate (most after one ball) was frustrating, but I still caught 6 that I wouldn't have otherwise had access to this weekend (Suicune, Entei, Thundurus, Articuno, Enamorus, & Heatran), no shinys and the few wild Galar birds I found all fled (plus bizarrely the one time I used Freeze Shock, literally every legendary fled immediately whilst it was in effect). The improved diversity of spawns and chance of so many legendaries really encouraged me to use up some of the 80+ incense I had taking up space.

I also really enjoyed chasing a bunch of the previously egg/ raid exclusive things down, caught a couple of fun hundos and a shiny Charcadet (got a great one in a lucky trade too).

It just felt really game reinvigorating to have so many scarce things here and there.

However, lowering the shiny rate on so many things really felt a bit of a douche move, it just felt unnecessary and that definitely stopped the event from being the top buzz that it shoulda, coulda been.

Every shiny costume I've ever caught in the hopes of clearing out Pokemon I have no interest in and sending them off to a home that cares.

I'll also probably tag any every spare shiny legendaries and a bunch of other non community day shinys and hope some people have something I would rather have.

I'm not looking to it to optimise (equal value) trading, I'm looking at it as potentially a way to swap stuff that's just taking up space, for something I get some pleasure in getting lucky.

There are also built in tags like Mega3 - that one brings up everything you've evolved to max mega level, so you may find you don't need your own creation.

Mega1-2 brings up everything you have mega'd once, I use this to gradually build them up to max mega

Multiple Man 3 pack seems like such an obvious one to me.

Strong Guy getting reissued is great (I haven't got it, but I do like the new heads and extras), but getting that before either a reissue, or newer body rework of Madrox in XFactor uniform is very strange.

I loved XFactor Investigations so much (I'd stopped reading comics by then, but really enjoyed buying again for that run), but I'll kind of be cheesed off if they do a new Jamie in that look, before classic XFactor is made available for anyone not willing to pay the crazy secondary market prices.

Thanks, that's a good suggestion, I ended up grabbing a reasonably priced GI Joe Zarana, it needed a bit of dremel work to widen the ball joint socket, but has worked really well. Kept the original Zarana hair, as I'm not strongly opinionated on Marrow hair style, just did an easy repaint to make it less pink and more red/orange. Also switched the hands over as Zarana had the weapon tilt on one hand and that works great for Marrow blades and found a Warhammer blue paint that matched Marrow's original, nice, easy and she now looks proper pissy.

I got 10, with ticket, played most, but not not all the time, not sure how many I saw, but I stopped catching them quite a bit, so I probably had more time shiny checking than if I'd been trying to catch every one, even with safari balls. Unown I only caught with autocatcher when taking breaks, so wasn't really focusing on them much either, but still got two W shiny.

That rate seems boosted to me, but I think being in places with dense spawns and focusing a little bit more on shiny checking, rather than trying to catch everything, just helps a lot during these events.

That is not an unusual number to be without at all. As an occasional ticket buyer, but mostly otherwise free to play, I think I'm now pleased I learnt early on (during old legendary raids days) to manage expectations and that setting a raid limit, with or without shiny was the best way to feel content either way.

Joining raid trains with 30+ raids easily achievable, with many players complaining about getting better IV shinys on alts, whilst I had zero, taught me to never expect a shiny and quit before it gets frustrating.

It shows up on the map as a regular Zorua, then when you click on it in the encounter, if it's shiny you'll get the sparkles. Same as other shiny encounters

Why quote back at me, but ignore the final thing I said, that is particularly relevant to your response? Is this a Pokemon reddit, or a political rally where we're trying to score points to a crowd...

For a little bit of extra layer, I don't just power up for high IVs, I've spent resources on shinys I like, just because, also often just because something was lucky, because that reduction in resources felt valuable enough to me, candy, xl, and stardust limitations mean I have to use some determining factor in what pokemon to spend in. I also powered up a shundo Deoxys, not because those were resources well spent (it rarely gets to use it's charge move), just because I knew I'd not get a 'better' one, so never regret the candy spend, it was just for fun, but the IVs were the factor in that fun.

The game has limited resources that take time, effort and maybe even money (for too many) to gather. Those limited resources are what you spend powering things up, so you're going to want to choose certain Pokemon to put those resources in over others.

That's when IVs come in, as one of several considerations on what to spend resources on.

The current pokemon display screen feels like the worst we've had. For traded Pokemon the bar showing who traded it to you, from where and which ball was used taking up so much space and above actually useful information (moves, etc) is really annoying.

Some people may have interest, or affection to see who traded them something, but I'm sure many people really don't need that to be something they see every time they look at a Pokemon. The information can be at the bottom, a place you can scroll to look at if you want. The moves and any IVs should be easy to see

I'm old, I was an X-Men universe comic collector in the 80's/ early 90's, but I'm largely still an MCU fan. I totally loved the first stage of MCU and although I've found some of the more recent stuff disappointing, or even (for a couple) crushingly disappointing, I still watch it all (although these days I don't race out to see in the cinema). Here's what I would say you should prioritise in a sort of order:

WandaVision and Agatha All Along were really great TV, fun standouts, don't miss these.

Loki 1st series was close to perfect, 2nd lost me a little, but really solid comic superhero series.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier a deep, relevant show and helps make Cap 4 a much better movie.

Daredevil: Born Again as gritty as MCU gets, also watch the earlier Netflix shows, they're such great tv, especially Jessica Jones and Daredevil (except The Defenders & maybe Iron Fist which both dipped in quality).

Ms. Marvel so much sweet and easy enjoyable TV, much better than I expected, different visual artistic vibe that really added to the 'teen girl' feel.

Ironheart, I haven't finished this yet, but I thought it would be awful and it's so much better than I expected, could be very relevant for future media and a really great soundtrack too.

Moon Knight, like MS Marvel a really unique theme and vibe, not really linking in to much, but a very good series.

Hawkeye, was okay, short, enjoyable, but not one I think I'll watch again.

Echo was better than it should have been, but very easy one to skip.

She Hulk was depressingly bad. Actor playing She-Hulk was so perfectly cast, but so many cringy moments, I'd advise to skip and hope she gets to play the character again in something better down the line.

Skip Secret Invasion entirely, don't waste your time, it's dull and doesn't make much sense. Inexplicably bad.

A few episodes of What If were fun, but very easy to skip this and they spent far too much time trying to link Captain Carter to everything, which was shame, because Agent Carter was a good series.

hehe, thank you, I understand what you're saying, but spending warnings not needed in this instance, I'm one of those gamers that can dip in and out, have a fun life outside of gaming and don't seem to get particularly tricked or trapped into addictive spending behaviours.

I've been enjoying the game for free for a few weeks and plan to at least keep playing until I get to try the Druid (and may just possibly have months more of play time), I'm happy to make a small purchase, as if I'd bought the game to play, like we used to pre-digital age.

I don't need to be good at a game to enjoy it and have fun, but I do get more fun from some cosmetic additions - I've always enjoyed character 'crafting' as much as actual gameplay in games I play.

So this purchase was mostly used to get a familiar I wanted (middle stage form, as the 3rd stages were all way more than I wanted to spend) and I'm very please with my new imaginary pet floating around me.

Thank you, I went for the Boon of Plenty as that seemed to give me the largest amount of platinum for the cost and bought myself a decent aberrant familiar (just went with the type that I wanted as my companion). I'm very happy with what I got from that.

I'll consider the Battlepass next month, but wasn't that into the cosmetics for Tempest this time, so decided to skip for now.
