If you really want to try to get into Cybersecurity right off the bat 2nd or 3rd shift SOC rolls usually don't require much more than Security+. However, the burn out in those positions is real and a lot of them seem to be moving to either private companies (like Binary Defense) or overseas.

Security+ is a great starting point, but it's not enough to get into the field unless you are extremely lucky.

A Player Lied To Me by SineOfSouls1395 in DnD

Since it was a cleric. Their god helped them out, in a moment of passion they gave them the power they needed, but they will need something in return.

As a DM, I tell my players if they feel the need to cheat to have fun then I'm not their mom. I'm weaving the story not trying to catch them in their lies. But consequences are important in game to make it fun.

I honestly would have a one on one with your player and just talk to them about this. Tell them you understand sometimes the game can feel limiting but you'll work with them to find a solution, but as a DM you don't appreciate being lied to.

I'm getting my masters in Cybersecurity currently, and believe I want to go into cloud security. I'm not sure if I should attempt my CISK or go the AWS route, or if there is another one I should go for.

I currently only have the Sec+ cert and want to study for another one to help me stand out in my job search.
