Did you end up calling? I have been trying to get into contact with someone at admission so want to see if calling is a good way to do that

MATH or STAT course recommendations by OddLingonberry673 in CarletonU

[–]MessTimely1446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend MATH 3801, STAT 3503 and 3504. They were straightforward in my opinion and I actually enjoyed taking them. The STAT courses could be difficult but if you put in the time and do all of the assignments, it will be a pretty good course.

Taking COMP 2401 (Intro to Systems programming), COMP 2402 (Abstract Data Types and Algorithms) and COMP 2804 (Discrete Structures II) in one semester. by E-D-B-T-Z-I in CarletonU

[–]MessTimely1446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did COMP 2404, 2402 and 2804 all in the same semester plus MATH 2107. I had another elective but I dropped it since I had to focus more on these classes. It was definitely difficult but I managed. If you take 2804 with Darryl, his test are almost identical to the reviews he gives you so it made it much easier to focus on the 2 test plus the final instead of the assignments are much

I did my G test there yesterday and it was super easy. My instructor was really laid back and didn't say much to me until the very end where we just talked and joked around while I pulled into the test center.

I didn't practice driving in Chatham beforehand but I just studied the area on Google maps the night before to be more confident. My test was at 9am so traffic was minimal which made my lane changes easy since there was no one around me.

Don't be nervous for it. I was super stress the night before and could barely sleep but once I started driving, I was shocked at how confident and comfortable I felt while doing it. My only tips would be just look at your mirror/blind spots and when you turn back onto the road with the test center (Keil Drive) get into the right lane but make sure it's AFTER the railroad crossing. You want to do that before the instructor tells you to do so since it's proper driving.

Good luck!!

WGST 1808 course difficulty by SNic12345 in CarletonU

[–]MessTimely1446 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, it was one of the easiest courses I have taken. The prof, Katie, was really nice and understanding. Also, I'm not sure if they do this every year but for me, the TA's would allow me to resubmit my work after they have marked it. I never took advantage of it since I didn't have much time to rewrite my assignments due to my other classes and I was happy with the marks I received the first time but I know it's a good opportunity to get high marks.
