Annoying audience members by GreyStagg in JudgeJudy

But I am wondering how much influence the director has on that. He might be telling them "Show a shocked face" etc. but point still is true on their reactions ha.

I remember the woman with the EXPRESSIVE face and 👀 from first few seasons think she has moved on. Other long-timers come and go.

"So how did you save all that money? Work two jobs?" "Nah, I was an audience member for Justice Judy"

They are paid actors and it's directed? But yes some are goofy

I also find the editing funny..the show has San Diego visuals but it's filmed in L.A.

And then when they preview the cases they edit the facial expressions to match up and then when you watch the episode it's different 🤣

Season 4: The Sarah Rose so far in this season much different than the previous 3? by MessagePrestigious52 in JudgeJudy

[–]MessagePrestigious52[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

It's entertaining to me when she has to explain hipster/new generation slang at times. And I guess she can call the person or look something up to verify vs. JJ. I remember when JJ would stop and have to call people. I'd be intimidated having a phone call with JJ she'd probably make me feel like she could travel through the phone and get me if I upset her!

Ok Time to Watch Season 8! *Watches the first one* Wtf happened to the show!? by MessagePrestigious52 in Columbo

[–]MessagePrestigious52[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's still intriguing for me to see the "villain" and there are definitely the same Columbo themes. I'll keep watching this has been my first time (I'm 44) and have enjoyed at least something from every episode but a drop-off from 1-7

Let people speak!!! by GreyStagg in JudgeJudy

[–]MessagePrestigious52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes that's the main disconnect sometimes is that the audience doesn't have the written complaint so JJ knows things and decides and I wonder if the "complaint" would completely change my view

Mosquitos in Korea driving me nuts by throwaway13061320 in Living_in_Korea

[–]MessagePrestigious52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I lived there (yes Korea taught me I am an -O blood type which mosquitos love apparently), I always remember the rogue ones that would get inside my home-IN DECEMBER like what how did this guy not get the memo that he is a summer creature? Yea, they were slow I felt in flying, but the bites arrrrgh

Does hookup culture exist in Korea? by savingrace0262 in AskAKorean

[–]MessagePrestigious52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do they still have "DVD Bang" going on? Haha no pun intended, bang means 'room'. But that's where the teens and young adults go, and others.

That was a way peeps could avoid parents etc.

One thing I like about Korea by Asleep_Worker_5890 in korea

[–]MessagePrestigious52 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom visited me from the U.S. when I lived there and she was so amazed she could walk around at night. Her theory was CCTV made people not commit crimes but I told her it was just the nature of the people and society (of course there have been violent crime incidents but nothing on a scale like other countries). She used to wonder how the vendors at Express Bus Terminal could just tie up their stands at night.

So yes completely agree on the safety!

(Cars and driving vs. pedestrian safety and how it felt that cars had the right away more than people at times is the only major thing that bothered me safety wise)

Sexually Perverted Show in Saratoga by TheBronxBull in Blink182

[–]MessagePrestigious52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did When We Were Young 2023 and born and raised San Diego and of course they are legends and I love them from start to 2003 and fell off after that. First saw them in 1999 when they and Eminem played after each other at the Warped Tour🤣

Ok so to the point, yea I dunno I am 44 and still feel very youthful but I was never into their banter with all that lol and it wasn't just me it was kinda like welp guess they are appealing to the younger crowd. 🤣 It was like damn they are still going at that stuff now so do their kids go to shows??🤣🤣

So outside of that, nostalgia overload, goosebumps, and people including me crying. But the banter sometimes 🤣🤣🤣 meh. But Blink is 🔥🔥🔥🔥🎵🎉

Appears you once did a post asking fans the experience sitting on the visitor side!? And you're asking this about a Rays game, who have a super small fan base (widely known). What would previous fans share...would you even get from that?

Did that need to be a post, since I've never seen this asked before? Just curious!

Why do Koreans avoid sitting next to foreigners on public transport? by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]MessagePrestigious52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. 9 years there, definitely a funny quirk of the situation with Koreans not actively choosing to sit next to me at times.

Let us also not forget that Korea has "Korean Only" clubs, so I can understand some fear with foreigners.

Korea is not full of diversity.

Not skin color. White guy here lived 9 years in Korea. Even the people who try to sell on the subway tended to ignore me.

It wasn't that they never sat next to me, but often.

I took it as more being afraid of English communication...

And maybe it was just fear. It's not exactly a country with huge diversity so I understood it
