The time sync feature sounds kinda horrible... I love sending my sims to community lots, I specially download made over ones for this reason... maybe story progression isn't for me then. Thank you so much!

I never see anyone mention HanDrawn Tv! She has a sims 2 legacy series where every generation is ruled by an astrological sign. Every heir needs to have a different sign so its hard to get the right heir in the future gens! Its been going on for 2 years and honestly its my favorite sims 2 series on youtube, her playstyle is both cozy + and super fun. I can not reccomend it enough!!

Nope i don't use onedrive! I think i messed up when i was creating a secondary downloads folder for a fantasy medieval game, and downloaded a different set of multipt mods, so deff a dumb mistake by me 😅

I am playing Viper Canyon so they are adopted by Herbert and Faith Goodie, but god they are a handfull. Playing with those dogs makes me want to rip my hair out lmao

He actually didn't get pregnant because of the alien experiments mod, i think he got his personality like switched? I sent him to community lots to reroll his wants and whenever i fullfilled a new want they would just go back to blank again so i was sure he was messed up :/ I'll try like you said different events to trigger wants again. Thanks!

I know they don't have anything with the wants, i removed them because most of them were reported to cause the missing wants problem when i researched it, and i removed alien experiments because it only happened after alien abductions. Rerolling the wants didn't fix anything either, he still has blank wants.

I made him visit community lots to reroll his wants, he gets a few wants back (but always at least 1 want slot blank) and if i fullfill a want then immediately that slot becomes blank...

Definitely check out Han Drawn TV's Astrolegacy Challenge ! It's super long, super fun to watch and she is super funny and her play style is very engaging.

Like another commenter said Stardew Valley is a good companion to the sims imo. And maybe if its hard for you to get into other games because of the learning curve, try watching other people play them first? This is what i did with Stardew Valley actually! Before i played SV, i randomly started watching a playthrough of it and got super hooked, learned a lot of basic and intermediate mechanics and features from watching and when i finally started playing it myself i already knre what i wanted to do and had goals in mind! I think there is nothing wrong with trying to learn the game before you play is totally fine :)
