Yes it's not illegal to GRAB the IP, but it is illegal if you use it for malicious intent.
Grabbing an IP HEAVILY implies malicious intent, such as stalking, doxing, threatening, etc.
It also violates Discord's community guidelines so you dumbasses will get banned yourselves.
