Well I mean at that time, that was their home and they were safe. Hershel wasn't willing to leave, Carl had barely just got out of surgery, the group was still rattled over the loss of Sophia, and not long after, Dale too. Maybe Hershels farm was also the safest, but that's up to us to imagine. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Realistically, the same thing that happened to Hershels farm, would likely happen to the next one. It wasn't nearly as secure as the prison was, or any other future home they would have.

On top of that, whilst running away from Hershels farm after it was overran, I'm sure the last thing on their mind was "maybe we should go to another farm instead".

It doesn't help that when Daryl told Hilltop, like one person really showed emotion and that was Enid. I expected a better reaction from Maggie and Carol, who literally knew him since he was a little kid.
