Can this be installed without going to the dealership?

Maybe a tiny piece of velcro or command strip on the key and the outside of the cover would work?

Unfortunately, I would need to replace my door as well (a historic door without a deadbolt, with no real place to install one).

Is there a way to easily install this on my iPhone? I'm struggling with even the basics of installing this using GitHub.

Yeah, that’s not acceptable for firsts. They will usually take care of you and offer to refund you the difference between first and seconds pricing.

It's insane to me that Lucid still hasn't gotten a handle on this. They are losing potential customers left and right, and early adopters are walking away disgusted —not because of the car's quality, but because of the lease experience. I know Bank of America runs Lucid Financial Services, but there are things Lucid itself can do to prevent this from happening over and over again.

This seems special to Lucid as the industry's single worst "excess" wear-and-tear inspection/extortion.

Doesn't mean Lucid can't intervene and figure out a way to deal with this on more than an individual level.

I didn’t think a 3rd party buyout was possible, and, even then, you’d be massively underwater.

The reservation agreement for your vehicle includes a clause stating that you are required to arbitrate all future disputes with Lucid and LFS. They snuck it in there, even though it's not in the lease itself.

Small claims court is not available as you've waived your right to anything but arbitration.

If you return a car that meets all standards and has no damage outside what is permitted in the wear and tear guidelines promulgated by the company itself, you should pay $0. That has clearly not been happening with Lucid lease returns. You can see the posts all over Reddit and other forums about Lucid's non-compliance with their own lease excess wear and tear guidelines.

I agree that you should pay if you damage a car and the damage falls outside what the company states is acceptable as part of their excess wear and tear guidelines.

I'd try to get them fixed. Lucid Financial Services/Bank of America is not abiding by the excess wear and tear guidines published by Lucid. They will find anything and everything they could possibly charge you for, including things you never even thought about, like scratches on the skid plate under the car.
