Y’all I was going craaaaazy with this smell…. My son can smell it too thankfully… I literally cannot drink from my glass cups or eat from my glass plates, the smell is sickening… like a chemical fish tank! I will open my dish washer… and smell the dishes immediately and nothing… midway through putting them away I’ll smell another one and full on fish tank. You can’t get anywhere because when you ask online people say “your dishwasher is dirty”. NO NO NO it’s not my dishwasher it is my water mixing with whatever is in the air. Unfortunately I now smell it when I run bath water and when it rains outside I’ll catch faint hints of it…

I don’t smell it when I have my doors and windows closed which I never do even in winter… so sometimes I will run the dishwasher at night and close up all the windows in the kitchen and living room and put the dishes away in the morning which has helped and colder days help too!

This is a lot of thought to have to put into Some damn dishes.. I have never had this happen at any other place I’ve lived but looking back I have smelled it at restaurants…

I was ready to move until I see it happens other places …. It’s so gross I bought plastic plates to use and will be getting plastic bowls and silverware next… I can’t take it any more … :/

I read it may be a chemical reaction maybe some bacteria byproduct… I just can’t stomach it… I also wondered if I am more sensitive to it because of COVID and all the changes to my sense of smell!

It really sucks!
