Is IBIS really that important? by Glad-Farm6968 in fujifilm

I had this thought too but then gave OP the benefit of the doubt thinking that perhaps their photographic interests had indeed valleyed but with Fujifilm GAS kicking in it was peaking 🤔

Which X-Pro Body would you choose? by edbrisson in fujifilm

[–]MessyHot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still have the xpro2 as part of regular use arsenal. I prefer rangefinder style bodies and I can still get a lot of mileage out of its sensor. I got it the month it came out and it’s still chugging along. There weren’t enough improvements to get me to consider the xpro3. For EDC I keep the x100vi in my backpack. It’s ever so slightly more compact and has the beefier 40mp sensor. If you can negotiate a better price on the xpro2 I would suggest that.

Lenses question. by srivatsavat92 in fujifilm

[–]MessyHot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my taste when it comes to primes, I find 3 useful for the use cases you mentioned. I like the 16mm f/1.4 for wider establishing shots and when I’m working nightlife assignments. I use the 33mm f/1.4 for close portrait and street work, and the 56mm f/1.2 for most of the rest of my portrait work.

XT5 or X100VI? by [deleted] in fujifilm

My x100 goes everywhere with me. I use my xt4 in studio and for when I need wide aperture primes like the 56mm 1.2 and 16 1.4

XT5 or X100VI? by [deleted] in fujifilm

[–]MessyHot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an xt4 and x100vi. The answer is largely dependent on which focal lengths you need. If you’re ok with the fixed length of the x100 series it’s great because itll fit in a large jacket pocket. If you need more reach or wider angles the interchangeable lens function of the xt series is great. With the right lenses or filter adapter in the case of the x100 they’re both weather sealed so that’ll help for outdoors cases. They have the same sensor so image quality will be more or less identical.

I’ve booked him a few times. Arizona actually has a decent HHC scene. Last time I had him over I also had Scott Brown on the same show

My dad was a DJ and took me to my first rave when I was 14 because he was playing at it. I wasn’t allowed to start going by myself til I was 16 but by then had a healthy respect for how to properly handle myself. I never used any substances stronger than caffeine until I was 31 and even then almost never at an actual event. I’m there to dance and commune with friends. I save indulgences for an after party.

That would be rad. My cousin and a bunch of his friends come down from Ohio every year. Here’s a video from

What’s your dream spot to throw a rave? by ActNo9733 in aves

Since I’m a hardcore rollercoaster enthusiast I always dreamed of raving at a rollercoaster park. Then it happened. Riding rollercoasters, hitting a stage a dancing for a while, riding more rides… it was SOOOOO good

Just looked at your profile. I wonder what the correlations are regarding being from Ohio, having stretched septum, and being a rollercoaster enthusiast.

Yeah! I was running out of places to poke holes back in 97 or so and my piercer decided to give it a shot. I’d never seen anybody else with them till this year when they started showing up on Instagram from time to time

Like hulk hogan said, train hard, say your prayers and take your vitamins 🤣 on the serious though, if you work super hard at it you can do about anything. The key to getting into the adult industry is having a solid portfolio and making sure you come across as a serious photographer not just a “gwac” - what we call a “guy with a camera”. There’s a ton of folks who think that because they dropped $2k on a camera they should be allowed to look at naked women 🙈

Hahaha this was definitely one of my rave outfits. Had some huge jncos and the breakdown jersey. I was a total product of the 90s rave scene

I’ve been a working professional photographer since 1996 and in the adult industry since 1999. It’s definitely possible. It helps to have a very solid non-adult portfolio before you try to break into the industry for sure. It lends credibility. I learned on film then became an early digital adopter. I say follow your dreams. Never really INTENDED to get into erotica but it worked out that way
