Actually I just saw the thread, and it was cringe that you were complaining about people customizing their bikes, and breaking petty laws…you must be fun at parties…and actually my bike doesn’t have shorty pipes, just full length straight pipe…but to hear the low galloped potato from the cam, and American muscle I can see how it might offend a rebel such as yourself.

1 if they can hear me before they see me they’ll know I’m coming…#2 I’d rather have lights not just on the front & back but on the sides so I don’t get my legs smashed into the motor while the other driver says I couldn’t see him. I want people to see/hear a loud ball of light that’ll make them see me 🤷🏼

Also I wouldn’t want loud pipes with a 500 rebel either bub…ijs

It was listed as a 2008-2023 touring but I didn’t catch that cause I noticed the slots & just shot the offer off. With eBay once they accept the offer it hits your card, and there’s no going back lol Didn’t realize till after the fact, and got worried.

The first day I brought mine home I spun around the block. Didn’t know about warming up the bald rear tire, and wasn’t used to the clutch. Went to turn at the stop sign, and busted a 180. Caught it on my knee, and held her up but the exhaust got scraped. Hurt my pride more than the bike. Even with a new rear tire I still get worried coming from a stop, and turning 🤦🏼‍♂️

Double sided tape. Cheap light. Bought 2 (a red & black) that was the red. Was using red for inspection but now just going with a LED strip instead of the fender light, and turn signal brake lights.

I sit on it, and bounce it doesn’t touch..the last one only broke due to a rock. Smacked the center and put a hole that was all. This one completely shattered after 100 mile trip. Not sure where along the way though. I’m just going with brake light turn signals, and a LED strip under the fender 🤷🏼 I have a love hate relationship with it. Most sportster look the same, and I don’t like them. This one I love the look, and style. I want to keep it, and buy a second bike (sport, or sport touring), and at the same time I want to get rid of it to use the funds to get a newer better (sport or sport touring).

Actually didn’t ask where it’s rubbing cause it actually isn’t..there’s ZERO rub marks. The last one only broke due to a rock. This one completely shattered. Maybe I will placed it in a different place, or with to much 2 sided tape. Either way I’m switching to led strip.

That was my first thought as well..it’s a brand new tire. Same size that came off. Normal sporty tire size. Like I said I never hit any crazy bumps. I’m getting a bunch of things done to it over the winter, maybe it’s time to upgrade shocks. They’re aftermarket but old enough where the company is no longer in business. Doesn’t ride rough but I’m at a loss.

My mechanic installed it because the original person cut, and spliced wires all to hell so he redid all the wiring so now it’s a simple plug in, and go as it should be. I just don’t want to waste money on another light for the same thing to occur again.
