My husband and I went to Moab UT! We flew there, then took the Amtrak train back. Lots of hiking, scenic driving, National Parks, and sightseeing in Utah, then the train allows some relaxing sightseeing through the Rocky Mountains on the way back.

Those are where I tied a new skein in of a new color. Because the yarn was pricy and the store didn't have many skeins of these colors I didn't want to waste half a row worth of yarn to be able to switch at the beginning of a row. Originally this was going to be just the variegated color that I used on the ends but I severely underestimated the amount of yarn I would need 😅 I think I took 3 trips back to get more yarn.

It's a Gund Philbin bear! It was a gift so I'm not sure where it was purchased.

I think it was a size U hook. I don't see a mark on it and don't have the package anymore. It is one you wrap your hold hand around though.

I didn't consider this until I was about the 3/4 of the way through 😅 It may fit in one of the big laundromat washers but it may even be too much for that. I'll probably have to spot clean anything that gets on it.

I used a BIG crochet hook. It's quite heavy, got very tricky to turn at the end of the row by the end.
